It’s a shame that I have to spend the time on Grassroots Truthcast and dedicate an episode to pedophiles,

9 seconds

sex trafficking, and the abuse of our children that’s being caused now through

15 seconds

a new technology of online gaming and websites geared toward the the salacious

23 seconds

activity by the deep state in trying to ruin the culture and character of our

31 seconds

children. We’re going to meet Brent Dusing this morning. He’s the CEO and founder of True Play. It’s a subscription-based

38 seconds

Christian gaming platform for kids 5 to 12 years of age. uh and he’s reacting to

45 seconds

reports that are now u in his eye and publicly uh published throughout the nation that should be raising the eye

54 seconds

and par parental concerns that these platforms like Roblox and um and and others that are out there that are

1 minute, 2 seconds

nothing more than platforms manipulated by sexual perverts and predators and testing intending to message wrongdoing

1 minute, 12 seconds

to our children, our vulnerable children of age that are trying to find their way in this very precarious life we live in

1 minute, 20 seconds

today. He’s presenting guard rails and guidelines for online uh activity for

1 minute, 28 seconds

and and and entertainment for our children. Folks, meet Brent Dussing. Brent is here today. Welcome aboard, Brent.

1 minute, 36 seconds

Thanks, Jean. Good to be with you.

1 minute, 38 seconds

And I have so much uh to ask you. You’ve come up with a company called True Play.

1 minute, 44 seconds

It’s a gaming platform literally intended to in allow children to have decent decent cultural Christianbased

1 minute, 53 seconds

ethical play activity online so that they can spend their time off of this

2 minutes

device and get back to school. We’ve got plenty to talk about with Brent Ding right after this message.

2 minutes, 14 seconds

Hello everyone. Please keep supporting Jean Valentino’s Truth Podcast. We need our voice to get out there far and wide and help save our country.

2 minutes, 25 seconds

Relationships matter because people buy people. And that’s why I buy Eddie Xarin

2 minutes, 32 seconds

Insurance of the Xarin Insurance Agency in Pensacola, Florida. a family-owned business with over 50 years in the

2 minutes, 40 seconds

business. And they treat people the right way. From homeowners insurance to contractor’s insurance, condo insurance,

2 minutes, 47 seconds

commercial insurance, all the different coverages that are out there, and of course, auto insurance. They’ve got you covered. They worry about you first.

2 minutes, 57 seconds

You’re more than a policy number. You’re a person who they’re watching out for,

3 minutes, 2 seconds

not when the sun is shining, but after the hurricane has left. If you want real service with real savings, contact Eddie

3 minutes, 11 seconds

Zuran at the Eddie Xarn Insurance Agency. www.zarin insurance.com.

3 minutes, 20 seconds

Give him a call today. You’ll be glad you did when you do. We’re back here with Brent Dussing. He’s uh owner and

3 minutes, 28 seconds

CEO founder of True Play, a great gaming platform. Brent, I have a ton of questions to ask you. We met at a

3 minutes, 36 seconds

conservative think tank conference recently in Dana Point, California.

3 minutes, 41 seconds

Since then, we’ve had the chance to get to know each other. I regret there’s not more platforms like yours out there

3 minutes, 49 seconds

helping parents steer the direction of their children. Explain.

3 minutes, 54 seconds

Look, the reality is things have never been worse for children than they are today. Anxiety, suicide, depression rates are all-time highs for kids. The

4 minutes, 3 seconds

average male is exposed to pornography when he’s 12. There’s all types of reports of sexual predators, child pornography, uh, you know, people coming

4 minutes, 11 seconds

at children, uh, only 32% of children believe in God without a doubt, and only 2% of children have a biblical

4 minutes, 19 seconds

worldview. Now, it’s all because kids are inundated with toxic content everywhere they turn. Whether it’s Roblox, which is where a lot of the source of the predators are coming from,

4 minutes, 29 seconds

whether it’s Tik Tok, whether it’s toxic content pushed on them by Disney, or various video games that are made. I’m not here to tell you that every every

4 minutes, 37 seconds

movie or every TV show, every video game that a child has access to is toxic. They’re not. Some are like bubble gum.

4 minutes, 44 seconds

But I am here to tell you there are a lot of things that are harmful for kids.

4 minutes, 48 seconds

And we’re seeing their effects now in the data and in the lives in the stories of children that I know that I’m sure you know that if you’re listening I’m

4 minutes, 56 seconds

sure kids you know and at True Play we’re doing something about it.

5 minutes

What’s happening exactly? Why did you have to take on Google and um Tik Tok?

5 minutes, 6 seconds

What what was what was your reaction to them?

5 minutes, 9 seconds

So So for some context, True Play is a platform. You can download it on your phone, on your tablet. It’s a bunch of games. Uh it’s an fun entertainment

5 minutes, 18 seconds

experience where every piece of content video games, digital comics, videos contain God’s truth. Every piece of content we make has God’s truth in it.

5 minutes, 27 seconds

Now the thing is when you run a digital product, you have to advertise on social media platforms. That’s the unfortunate truth of the economy today. You know,

5 minutes, 36 seconds

people don’t really watch TV much anymore. You can’t we can’t really advertise effectively on the radio because it’s a very visual product. So we advertise on social media platforms.

5 minutes, 47 seconds

That’s how we grow. The three biggest that are the most effective are Tik Tok,

5 minutes, 51 seconds

Google, and the Meta platforms. Now Meta hasn’t given us any problems. Have no complaints about them. But Google and Tik Tok won’t allow us to advertise.

6 minutes

Now, you may be listening and thinking,

6 minutes, 2 seconds

“Wait a minute. You’re a Christian kids gaming platform and you can’t advertise on Tik Tok and Google.” No. They explicitly block us. And to get a

6 minutes, 9 seconds

question out of your mind, it’s not that we’ve said anything inflammatory. We’re not out condemning people or saying we hate such and so. We’re literally run

6 minutes, 16 seconds

ads as benign as fun Christian games for your kids to play. Um

6 minutes, 23 seconds

save turn, you know, turn game time into God time. Save family-friendly content that parents can trust. Endless adventures. All those ads were banned.

6 minutes, 31 seconds

We had Kim Walker Smith endors us. That ad was banned. Uh Riley Gaines endorse us. That ad was banned. every ad that we’ve run and Google’s excuse is their

6 minutes, 40 seconds

stated reason is you can’t push your religious beliefs on people in advertising.

6 minutes, 45 seconds

Here’s the thing. They allow satanic content to advertise. They have run ads on from Roblox with literally pentagrams

6 minutes, 52 seconds

drawn in blood with blood all over the floor and dismembered bodies saying, you know, letting letting millions of people see those ads with no restraint. They

7 minutes

allow a game called Diablo, literally a game about Satan, to advertise.

7 minutes, 5 seconds

Satanism wants to be qualified as a religion. Well, if it’s a religion, then they shouldn’t be allowed to advertise on on uh Google either. They Google allows Buddhist content to advertise.

7 minutes, 16 seconds

Many Buddhist products, whether it’s,

7 minutes, 17 seconds

you know, yoga, Buddhist meditation, or uh statues you can buy, they advertise without restraint. Transgender content,

7 minutes, 24 seconds

you know, to me that’s the new religion of the day is this idea that you can convert one one sex into another, one gender into another. They allow

7 minutes, 33 seconds

transgender content for kids to be able to advertise. And so the the issue is that Google doesn’t actually have a problem with religion. It’s that Google

7 minutes, 40 seconds

has a problem with Christianity and explicitly is discriminating actively against us. And it shows you that Google

7 minutes, 47 seconds

hates the things of God. Tik Tok, very similar story. Tik Tok actually sent us an email saying, “You can no longer advertise content that is dangerous or harmful to our users.” And by the way,

7 minutes, 58 seconds

we’re we’re advertising, you know, video games about kids who go on adventures and learn the value of the Bible, about King David and his, you know, battle

8 minutes, 7 seconds

against Goliath, about the story of the Old Testament. So meanwhile though,

8 minutes, 11 seconds

again, Tik Tok allows Roblox and Diablo to advertise, which are promoting satanic content, and again, transgender content for kids is allowed to be

8 minutes, 18 seconds

advertised. So it shows you the deeper agenda is actually dark and evil. And that’s the decisions that people at

8 minutes, 26 seconds

Google and Tik Tok are making that they actually hate the things of God. Why do you think that’s so?

8 minutes, 33 seconds

Why are they picking on on um on you uh with such a meritorious agenda

8 minutes, 41 seconds

uh at True Play. Uh it’s not that it’s just Christianbased. It’s it’s fun and good entertainment for the kids as well.

8 minutes, 49 seconds

It’s more than just spreading Christianity, which other religions have clearly been allowed to do on both Tik Tok and Google. I’m trying to come to

8 minutes, 57 seconds

some defense for Google and Tik Tok so we we don’t get this show banned from them either. So, what would be the logic behind um their treatment of you?

9 minutes, 8 seconds

Well, it’s it’s what I’ll tell you is that there are other Christian organizations who have also had problems. So it’s not first of all I’ll tell you it’s not just us but I will

9 minutes, 16 seconds

tell you it is because we’re Christian because again it’s and and the reason is there the a everybody’s talking about AI

9 minutes, 22 seconds

and LLMs and you know AI models the mo you know the model that Google uses to allow ads to run right it’s not like

9 minutes, 31 seconds

somebody sits there and punches a button they don’t have enough people to do that they they run you know billions probably trillions of of impressions you know

9 minutes, 38 seconds

every day what they what they have is machines that decide what’s dangerous and harmful content. So what I want you

9 minutes, 45 seconds

to understand as a listener, those of you who are using Google Gemini, those of you who are using Google products,

9 minutes, 50 seconds

those of you who are watching what AI AI is doing to our society, I want you to understand that one, number one, Google is ahead in the AI race, the things that its model can achieve and its reach,

10 minutes

right? Google controls television essentially with YouTube. It controls um a lot of internet browsing, 40% of mobile phones, most of internet search.

10 minutes, 8 seconds

Google’s ahead in the AI race right now.

10 minutes, 11 seconds

Google’s AI model hates the things of God. It hates Christianity. If it didn’t, it wouldn’t block us and then

10 minutes, 19 seconds

allow Satanism and Buddhism and transgender content for kids to advertise. Right? So, very clearly there’s a dark and sinister agenda. Why

10 minutes, 26 seconds

is that true? Because honestly, there’s some pretty wicked people in positions of power right now. Right? And that’s been well documented by a lot of people.

10 minutes, 34 seconds

I’m not the first people to say the first person to say it. In fact, Jesus said that. He said, you know, think about think about the temptation of Christ when uh he’s out in the desert for 40 days and the devil says, “Listen,

10 minutes, 46 seconds

I I’ll give you all the kingdoms if you’ll kneel to me.” Jesus doesn’t say,

10 minutes, 49 seconds

“You don’t control those kingdoms.” He just refuses to bow. Later on, Jesus goes on to call him the the the prince

10 minutes, 55 seconds

of this world. So, there’s there’s a sense in which, and it’s not everywhere,

11 minutes

but there is a sense in which uh there really is evil that control these gates of power. and Google and Tik Tok have pretty clearly shown their hands. You

11 minutes, 8 seconds

know, you and I were at a conference that was focusing on that theme. the thought that um this deep state initiative that’s going on by the likes

11 minutes, 17 seconds

of George Soros and all his agents and proxies around the world are um are have

11 minutes, 24 seconds

been orchestrly set into certain areas of the of the world including the United States with

11 minutes, 33 seconds

agents and proxies underway to cause harm not only to children but to other uh sex sectors of our societ. society

11 minutes, 43 seconds

and uh so if you’re talking about a platform, what is unique about the True Play platform that uh stands you apart

11 minutes, 51 seconds

from the other platforms that would be good for parents to know about to subscribe to? Here’s what’s unique about True Play.

11 minutes, 58 seconds

It’s one app with over a 100 hours of content, over a dozen games, dozens of entertainment choices, videos, digital

12 minutes, 5 seconds

comics. We put out new content uh as well. And so every piece of content we make is made to be fun. It’s made to be

12 minutes, 14 seconds

beautiful, but it also contains biblical truth. So our guarantee to you as a parent, our commitment to you is if your child’s going to invest their time, if

12 minutes, 22 seconds

you’re going to invest your money in true play, you can trust that the content that you’re getting is based in God’s truth. Some of our games are Bible stories, King David’s Battles and

12 minutes, 31 seconds

Stained Glass. Other games that, you know, you you go to our website, you’ll see these characters that are animals wearing different animal costumes.

12 minutes, 37 seconds

They’re these characters in the rim verse. They live in a world where God is real and the Bible’s true, but there’s real evil that exists in their society and they go on these big adventures and

12 minutes, 46 seconds

explore this mysterious forest and go out into space and there’s spaceship battles and there’s monsters and there’s sword fights. But there’s also real heart issues the kids deal with. Uh, one

12 minutes, 55 seconds

of the kids is uh adopted. One of them her parents are divorced. One of them is autistic. One of them uh is a very strong believer in Jesus but is very

13 minutes, 3 seconds

headstrong and kind of leaps before she looks. So, every single one of the children, one of them is the youngest and doesn’t get taken seriously by

13 minutes, 10 seconds

anybody else. If you have more than one child, you’ll you’ll empathize with that. Or maybe if you’re listening, you were a youngest. The point is the characters deal with things that

13 minutes, 19 seconds

children deal with today, but in a healthy, constructive way that points them back to Christ, that points them back to the Bible, that points them back to their reality that God made them and

13 minutes, 28 seconds

loves them, and that they’re a child of God. I’m always interested in talking about how that these meritorious issues

13 minutes, 35 seconds

might relate to issues of subtrafuge and subliminal activity. Your site was taken down recently and um this was quite

13 minutes, 44 seconds

suspicious on your part as to how and why it happened. Do you have a sense as to why your site came down and why you had to work so aggressively to getting it back up so quickly?

13 minutes, 53 seconds

Well, yeah. So, so what happened was we had a vendor failure. So, not to over complicate this, but when you run a tech

14 minutes

product, you pay different people to do uh third parties to do different work for you. You know, you have you have online servers that you use in the cloud

14 minutes, 8 seconds

as one example. We had a vendor who failed for us, which caused uh you could still download it, but there were

14 minutes, 16 seconds

certain things you couldn’t use inside the product. We fixed that very quickly,

14 minutes, 20 seconds

but it actually took Apple two weeks to approve our fix. So, uh, that meant that quite a few people had had problems, uh,

14 minutes, 29 seconds

using the service, and that was what that was about.

14 minutes, 32 seconds

Friends, we’re talking with Brent Dussing. He’s the owner, founder of True Play, a subscription-based Christian

14 minutes, 39 seconds

gaming platform that I think you ought to you ought to subscribe to, but I’m going to incentivize it. Gene Valentino has the Grassroots Truthcast mug. Brent,

14 minutes, 48 seconds

you you let us know that you’re interested in one of these mugs. We’ll ship it to you. uh become a subscriber of Grassroots Truthcast and while you’re

14 minutes, 56 seconds

at it, check out this episode with Brent and uh we’ll we’ll make sure you get to Brent directly if he hasn’t received

15 minutes, 3 seconds

direct contact from you himself. So Brent, uh give us your contact information. How do people find out about True Play?

15 minutes, 11 seconds

Yeah, the best thing to do to to connect with True Play is go to trueplayames.com.

15 minutes, 16 seconds

Uh you can download, you can buy the product, you can go to the the app store or the Google Play Store. Just look for Trueplay. you. We are still on uh Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. So, X,

15 minutes, 26 seconds

so you can follow us on any of those platforms. Um, look, we’d love for you to get involved. Check out the product.

15 minutes, 33 seconds

Uh, if you have grandkids, you can buy a gift for your grandchildren. Um, we have merchandise you can sell, and if you want to get involved in a deeper way,

15 minutes, 41 seconds

there’s ways on our website, uh, if you look at at contact and support, uh, to get involved even further. We have a lot of exciting stuff we’re doing right now.

15 minutes, 49 seconds

We’re building new content. We’re growing and getting in front of more people uh because we are able to grow,

15 minutes, 54 seconds

you know, using meta and using some other ads inside inside other people’s games. And also, we’re building new stuff. We have a lot of building. You’re allowing more people to get on.

16 minutes, 3 seconds

But my what turned me on about this is that this is not open to strangers. It’s a private network, is it not? I mean,

16 minutes, 10 seconds

you no open chat rooms for strangers to get on with your kids.

16 minutes, 13 seconds

That’s right. You’re Yeah. No chat rooms, no ads, uh no hidden purchases.

16 minutes, 18 seconds

Yes. There is a onetime there’s a subscription that you pay for, but that’s very transparent. That’s it.

16 minutes, 23 seconds

There’s no extra charges. There’s no ads you have to ask questions about. Uh there’s no there’s no strangers. There’s no ability for people to interact with your child. Right now,

16 minutes, 34 seconds

you let Brent know that we uh that you became a subscriber with True Play. And Brent will let me know and we’re sending you one of these mugs as well if you don’t come to us directly. Brent Ducing,

16 minutes, 44 seconds

this is very exciting. I want to continue with this conversation because I think um you know we’ve got an Iran

16 minutes, 52 seconds

Iraq war we’ve with um with Israel and the United States. We’ve got uh issues in

17 minutes, 1 second

Venezuela that just preceded it. Who knows what happens tomorrow in Cuba.

17 minutes, 6 seconds

We’ve got world issues going on. And this is one of those 3Ds of Gino. Gino’s three Ds. divert, deflect, and distract.

17 minutes, 17 seconds

While you’re watching the news and all this national insanity going on to take out the Middle East by Iran,

17 minutes, 25 seconds

subversive groups that are already here in the United States, as Brent said, are perpetrating

17 minutes, 33 seconds

perverted, immoral activities against our children that need the protection

17 minutes, 40 seconds

necessary to understand the beauty of our constitutional republic. for um for

17 minutes, 47 seconds

platforms like his to survive. Do you think Brent would be able to post this platform in other nations of the world?

17 minutes, 55 seconds

Uh yeah, I think it’s more likely he’d be shot than um than than that be able to be done. And that’s a regret because

18 minutes, 3 seconds

uh we as a constitutional republic allow for freedom of expression and the liberties that go along with it and also

18 minutes, 12 seconds

differences of opinion. But when your differences become so actionable as to

18 minutes, 19 seconds

take a sight down because of a Christianbased what happened to Sunday morning on the TV channels there was Christian-based uh

18 minutes, 28 seconds

programming on all the time uh and many other faiths as well. Well, the same thing has to now extend by legislative

18 minutes, 36 seconds

act to the social media platforms of the world. And it requires a a a Congress with intestinal fortitude.

18 minutes, 45 seconds

Jump in, Brett. A Congress with intestinal fortitude to step up and um quash these impotent legislators that

18 minutes, 54 seconds

are pushing an an extreme left Marxist socialistic agenda.

18 minutes, 59 seconds

That is not consistent. Here’s what I would say to that. So, you know, we just talked about all the discrimination that we’ve experienced by Tik Tok and Google.

19 minutes, 7 seconds

We need two things to happen. First, we need active legislation that these that these tech platforms can’t discriminate

19 minutes, 15 seconds

against Christianity because yes, it’s affected true play. And mostly though, it’s affected kids,

19 minutes, 20 seconds

but it’s also discriminate against any any uh religious faith. It should be Well, yeah, but right now it’s Christianity that’s suffering. It’s not anybody else.

19 minutes, 29 seconds

They’re in focus. You’re right. They’re not they’re not they’re not preventing any other religious uh you know they’re not prevent the Satanists or the Buddhists. I have the receipts from

19 minutes, 36 seconds

advertising and I’m pretty sure they’re not preventing other major religions too. But they are preventing Christianity. Why? Because Jesus said they’re going to hate you because they hate me. Because that’s the real threat.

19 minutes, 46 seconds

The real threat is the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. So the first thing is yes it’s affected us. Secondly, yes, it’s

19 minutes, 54 seconds

affected other Christian groups because they they’ve reached out to me. But the third thing is it’s really hurt children, right? Think about this,

20 minutes, 3 seconds

Jean. If if the school let out at 3 in the afternoon and a bunch of kids between the ages of 5 and 12 filed out of school and they go down a dirt road,

20 minutes, 12 seconds

they hit the the road at the intersection, there’s a three-part split. The first split takes you to a fun afterchool Christian program that

20 minutes, 19 seconds

kids actually enjoy. The second one takes them to a satanic temple. The third split takes them to a pornography store where you can watch porn and also

20 minutes, 27 seconds

there’s adults in there that assault the kids. Okay?

20 minutes, 31 seconds

So the kids watching the porn and then um and the adults are nearby to get just to finish the metaphor. Imagine

20 minutes, 39 seconds

two men stand in the middle of the intersection and they won’t allow the kids go to go down path one which is the fun after school program and they force

20 minutes, 47 seconds

them to either go to the satanic temple or the the porn store. If that happened in real life, if that happened to one school and two people did that to 30 children, those men would be restrained,

20 minutes, 58 seconds

arrested, beaten up, or maybe killed.

21 minutes, 1 second

That is happening at scale by the millions, by Tik Tok and Google every single day. Google and Tik Tok are the

21 minutes, 10 seconds

villains. They’re the corporals because they’re the ones who control platforms.

21 minutes, 13 seconds

And they’ve told you now they’re showing you. They’re showing their hand. If you’re listening, they don’t care about you. They don’t care about your children

21 minutes, 20 seconds

and they actually exist to exacerbate the destruction of Christianity and American and and

21 minutes, 28 seconds

children, right, and the American family. Because interestingly, Tik Tok when it was owned by communist China wouldn’t allow the vast majority of the

21 minutes, 35 seconds

garbage that goes on Tik Tok to be shown to their own citizens. Yeah.

21 minutes, 39 seconds

They know it’s toxic and they’re happy to push it on us, but they don’t want to have it happen to their own people. So,

21 minutes, 47 seconds

what what you need to do if you’re listening is get involved. Um, write to your congressman, write to your senator and say, “Listen, we can’t have these

21 minutes, 55 seconds

tech platforms discriminated against us.” And furthermore, we need guardrails for AI, right? AI. It’s because it’s AI systems that are actively discriminating

22 minutes, 4 seconds

against us. These systems, if you look at the biggest companies, if you look at Dario Amade who runs uh anthropic, he

22 minutes, 11 seconds

came out and said there’s a 25% chance that the AI models that we’re building are going to eventually kill us. Uh Elon Musk famously started open AI because he

22 minutes, 21 seconds

had a heart-to-he heart conversation with one of the founders of Google.

22 minutes, 24 seconds

Walked away thinking, “This guy wants to destroy humanity by just building this AI machine.” started Open AI, then realized Sam Alman was kind of doing a same version of what he was afraid of,

22 minutes, 34 seconds

and so he built Grock. My point is,

22 minutes, 36 seconds

we’re building these very systems that these leaders are telling us out in the public, there’s a real chance they’ll destroy us, and yet we don’t have any

22 minutes, 44 seconds

congressional action to protect American citizens and protect the American values that make our country great.

22 minutes, 52 seconds

How did a Harvard grad uh majoring in economics into venture capital activities, making your millions in all

23 minutes, 1 second

kinds of businessoriented stuff, end up with a company like True Play. Hold the thought. We want a full answer right

23 minutes, 10 seconds

after this. Relationships matter because people buy people. And that’s why I buy

23 minutes, 18 seconds

Eddie Xarin Insurance of the Xarin Insurance Agency in Pensacola, Florida.

23 minutes, 23 seconds

A family-owned business with over 50 years in the business. And they treat people the right way. From homeowners insurance to contractor’s insurance,

23 minutes, 32 seconds

condo insurance, commercial insurance,

23 minutes, 35 seconds

all the different coverages that are out there, and of course, auto insurance.

23 minutes, 39 seconds

They’ve got you covered. They worry about you first. You’re more than a policy number. You’re a person who

23 minutes, 47 seconds

they’re watching out for, not when the sun is shining, but after the hurricane has left. If you want real service with

23 minutes, 56 seconds

real savings, contact Eddie at the Eddie Xarn Insurance Agency. www.zarin insurance.com.

24 minutes, 7 seconds

Give them a call today. You’ll be glad you did when you do. Hi friends. We’re we’re having a ball here with Brent Ducing on uh True Play. Uh True Play.

24 minutes, 18 seconds

He’s the founder of And this is very interesting. Uh Brent, I have I asked you a question before the break. How did

24 minutes, 25 seconds

a Harvard grad with an economics background similar to my background who’s still in venture capital stuff when he’s not doing this stuff on

24 minutes, 33 seconds

podcast, how did you end up doing such a meritorious thing uh in a Christian-based environment for these

24 minutes, 41 seconds

children? And I got to tell you be go ahead answer that question first and it’s been the answer is it’s been a journey. The answer is that you know you

24 minutes, 50 seconds

you know I heard I didn’t invent this phrase but you know life makes sense looking backwards. I was called to this but you know when I was a kid I when I

24 minutes, 58 seconds

got a Nintendo when I was eight or nine years old in my house that very first Nintendo Entertainment System it was a step function. It was night and day what

25 minutes, 8 seconds

video games could do. Visav the old Ataris and the Commodore. Um, you know,

25 minutes, 12 seconds

the Nintendo was to video games what Star Wars was to movies. It was a completely different thing that changed the way the whole genre worked. So, uh,

25 minutes, 20 seconds

I grew up playing video games. I grew up making board playing board games, making board games. My friends would actually come over and and play them and actually ask to play. So, I knew that game design

25 minutes, 30 seconds

was something that I I enjoyed. um I didn’t think that it was much of a career path and uh you know graduated

25 minutes, 38 seconds

from Harvard in 2001 got a job at a venture firm which which was a good first job you know it was a good good job out of school uh I had an idea to

25 minutes, 47 seconds

start a company that it was back in 2005 if you remember uh before the iPhone there was the Motorola Razer there was

25 minutes, 55 seconds

the the Blackberry uh and people were just starting to download things on their phones they were just starting to uh play video games. So, we realized

26 minutes, 4 seconds

wherever there was a screen, there was going to be an ad. And so, we started a company called Cellfire uh that we eventually sold that was coupons on cell phones at grocery stores. So, if you’ve

26 minutes, 13 seconds

ever shopped at a Safeway or Kroger affiliate and they say use your cell phone to save money, uh that’s uh that’s Sellfire. And so, that that wound up uh being a nice outcome. God bless that.

26 minutes, 24 seconds

and then really felt called after that into uh making games into reaching people with God’s truth into building

26 minutes, 32 seconds

excellent worldclass products that really had the ability uh to change lives for the kingdom. You know, that’s the last thing Jesus said is, you know,

26 minutes, 39 seconds

go forth and disciple all nations. And he talks a lot about sharing his truth and and telling people about who he is.

26 minutes, 47 seconds

And, you know, we’ll all be we’ll all stand in front of God one day and be asked that by the Lord. you know, what did you do with your your your talents and you know, did you deny me or did you

26 minutes, 56 seconds

you know, did you speak about me? Did you stand up for me? And and all of those things, he makes it very clear.

27 minutes

And so, uh, this is something that I was called to, as well as the rest of my team. You know, it’s not just me. We have a world-class team of of fantastic

27 minutes, 8 seconds

people with all types of backgrounds and skills that are part of this, too.

27 minutes, 12 seconds

You know, it’s very interesting you brought I’m glad I asked the question because you’re at the same point in your life I think I’m at. You’ve done so much

27 minutes, 21 seconds

9 to5. You’ve been checking off the box every day on your to-do list and you reach a point in the last what third of

27 minutes, 28 seconds

your life where you’re wanting to do more for others and give back. And um I look at my grassroots truth cast, if I

27 minutes, 37 seconds

can be personal for a minute, I look at it in that light. Helping you help others is kind of it’s a lot of fun for

27 minutes, 44 seconds

me. It’s um it’s a way of giving back after a journey of having tried to figure out where I was going. And uh it

27 minutes, 53 seconds

you know in that regard I think of my grandchildren. I have two grandchildren and they just love uh this uh game out

28 minutes, 1 second

there called and these figures called action figures called Paw Patrol. And you’ll forgive me but I cannot help but

28 minutes, 9 seconds

notice these animated characters on the screen behind you. Why why don’t you pull out and explain what Paw Patrol

28 minutes, 18 seconds

would be analogous to to this I’m looking at.

28 minutes, 21 seconds

So, let me kind of take you through our characters. So, this is um this is a a banner uh in our office uh that that

28 minutes, 28 seconds

shows off a little bit of detail about our characters and kind of who they are.

28 minutes, 31 seconds

So, I’ll take I’ll take the viewers through that. So, on the left is Lumi.

28 minutes, 35 seconds

So, Lumi is just a a little flame and Lumi has two different games on the True Play platform. One is uh based on the on

28 minutes, 43 seconds

the uh children’s song this little light of mine. So you fly through and you light up these little torches. Uh another one is a word game, Lumi’s Words

28 minutes, 51 seconds

of Light, where um you spell words and then eventually some of those words connect into scripture. Um our main characters in the rim verse are right

28 minutes, 59 seconds

here. And so there’s a little girl who’s a firefox who’s in a butterfly costume.

29 minutes, 4 seconds

Her name is Isabella. She’s about six years old. She is the uh youngest of the group and she’s the one who is not taken

29 minutes, 12 seconds

seriously at all because they all think that you know she’s too young, she doesn’t know what she’s doing. Uh if you have kids or maybe you were that kid,

29 minutes, 18 seconds

you can probably identify with with the travailes of the youngest. Um she has a very deep Holy Spirit gifts um but also

29 minutes, 27 seconds

has a real independent streak and doesn’t like the older kids bossing her around and so she learns more about who her spir what her spiritual gifts are in her journey. Right next to her is Ava.

29 minutes, 36 seconds

Uh Ava is a girl who is a uh fawn who wears a Lynx costume or sorry, a Lynx that wears a Fawn costume. So Ava, her

29 minutes, 45 seconds

parents are divorced. She’s getting bullied at school. And her journey is about learning that you aren’t who

29 minutes, 53 seconds

people say who you are. You’re who God made you to be. So it doesn’t matter if people say negative things. Um what matters is your identity in Christ.

30 minutes, 1 second

She’s our only character who wears a costume of another animal that’s less fierce than who she is because she’s had

30 minutes, 9 seconds

she’s learned through, you know, the the difficulty she’s been through in her life to to kind of be silent and she learns to stand up for herself uh and to speak back against the negativity. Um,

30 minutes, 20 seconds

our biggest male hero is next. This is Lucas. Lucas is a skunk. He wears a crocodile rocket suit that he built himself. It flies. It shoots laser

30 minutes, 29 seconds

beams. Lucas is autistic and as you know if you’re listening there’s a lot of children today who are autistic. Uh about a third of my close male friends

30 minutes, 37 seconds

are on the spectrum. So it’s something that I uh connect with pretty deeply. Lucas,

30 minutes, 43 seconds

his brother died a year ago and he doesn’t get it. His mom’s a Christian.

30 minutes, 47 seconds

He’s not uh so his mom says he’s up there with God and he says great. I’ll just go fly in a spaceship and go bring him back. But of course your mom’s like,

30 minutes, 54 seconds

“No, no, that’s not what I meant. That’s not that’s not what we’re talking about.” but he takes off and so he goes on a journey and learns more about the

31 minutes, 1 second

reality of God and who God is. Our biggest female star is Maple. Maple is a bunny rabbit who wears a tiger costume. Uh she’s a very strong believer in God.

31 minutes, 10 seconds

She’s she’s uh very earnest and sincere about her beliefs. Uh knows her Bible well. Her her life verse is God Joshua

31 minutes, 18 seconds

16. God tells me to be strong and me to be strong and courageous. She’s also though not always right but never in doubt. She leaps before she looks and

31 minutes, 25 seconds

gets herself uh into uh a little bit of trouble as she rescues Oliver. Uh Benjamin is our warrior. He’s a hockey

31 minutes, 34 seconds

player. Uh he’s a Wolverine. He um he’s a a good athlete, but he’s also a fierce protector. His job is to protect

31 minutes, 41 seconds

Isabella, who’s the younger one. Um he’s a very strong believer in God and learns more about uh the spiritual gifts. In

31 minutes, 48 seconds

fact, his game Benjamin and the armor of Logos is really about Ephesians 6. And so it takes you through that in a very artful way. This is Noah. Noah is

31 minutes, 58 seconds

Lucas’s best friend. Again, Lucas is the the skunk uh who lost his brother. Uh Noah’s an outdoors guy. He’s a kangaroo that wears uh a shark costume. In fact,

32 minutes, 7 seconds

our our uh audience voted for him to be a kangaroo in a shark costume. And he likes to uh rock climb and paraglide and

32 minutes, 17 seconds

longboard and surf. And he’s a very strong believer. and is trying to kind of help Lucas cope with the loss and and

32 minutes, 24 seconds

bring Lucas along in faith in God as he goes on this big journey. The last but certainly not least is Oliver. Oliver is

32 minutes, 32 seconds

a fox who’s in a bear costume. Oliver is adopted. Uh Oliver is a scientist. He’s

32 minutes, 39 seconds

a botonist. And he um uh his parents were very respect his biological parents, his fox parents were very

32 minutes, 47 seconds

respected biblical scholars. uh his bear family adopted him and now he reads a lot of science books and he tries to understand uh the meaning of faith and

32 minutes, 56 seconds

when we pray who are we speaking to um so in his story he Maple rescues him very early on and they’re in this forest

33 minutes, 4 seconds

of words and they learn the forest is getting darker and the forest is deteriorating because this evil queen has stolen all the Bibles out of their

33 minutes, 12 seconds

society so they have to learn uh they uncover this plot and then they have to wind up uh overthrowing the queen and restoring truth back into their society.

33 minutes, 21 seconds

Uh this is Eve. Uh this is a very different take on Eve than probably a lot of what a lot of people have seen.

33 minutes, 27 seconds

But uh you know the first thing about Eve is that she is uh the mother of all people. Secondly, I think Eve was gorgeous. Why? Well, Eve was God’s gift

33 minutes, 36 seconds

to man. And so uh we drew Eve to be beautiful. And uh Eve is the first character in our game stained glass. In

33 minutes, 43 seconds

the game Stained Glass, you play through the story of the Bible and you can see some elephants in the background over her shoulder and some birds flying at a

33 minutes, 52 seconds

waterfall. So in stained glass, you collect these stained glass pieces. The stained glass pieces form a stained glass window. The stained glass pieces come to life and then a character from

34 minutes

the Bible tells you their story, but from a first-person viewpoint. So Eve talks about what it was like to live in the garden and then what it was like to look God in the eye and he says, “Where

34 minutes, 9 seconds

are you?” Not that God didn’t know where she was physically, but where are you in your heart? Where have you gone? You she the separation from God caused by sin

34 minutes, 17 seconds

and the grief and the loss that she and Adam experienced having to had leave the garden. Then after that in the stained glass game, then you go to uh Noah’s

34 minutes, 25 seconds

story. Then you go to Sarah’s version of the of the Abraham event and her point of view. Then we go on to Moses and so forth. So the stained glass is really an

34 minutes, 34 seconds

an artful fun way that we take you through the Old Testament.

34 minutes, 38 seconds

I’m having trouble understanding why a platform like um Google or Tik Tok would

34 minutes, 45 seconds

have a problem with this notwithstanding what they’re allowing elsewhere to be to be on your on your on their platform is

34 minutes, 54 seconds

amazing to me and is why I had you on today. I think there’s got to be some reformation in the way we allow access

35 minutes, 2 seconds

to free speech and um and uh expression to occur on these platforms. It’s more

35 minutes, 9 seconds

than a radio station or TV station FCC license that one group of

35 minutes, 16 seconds

broadcasters are u complying with and then free reign. It’s like the gold rush

35 minutes, 22 seconds

going west. there were no rules uh with the whole social media and platforms that are existing out there outside of

35 minutes, 31 seconds

the United States which adds more difficulty for uh legislative oversight and management. Where do you go in an

35 minutes, 39 seconds

environment with true play where you have the world in such disarray? Uh they

35 minutes, 46 seconds

can’t govern their own nation, let alone worry about a social uh a a pure platform like this.

35 minutes, 54 seconds

Well, look, Jean, the world’s in disarray and and you know, there are sadly a lot of uh innocent people suffering right now uh in the Middle East and and that’s that is a shame.

36 minutes, 5 seconds

There’s a lot of innocent, you know,

36 minutes, 6 seconds

women and children who are who are being hurt. Um,

36 minutes, 10 seconds

look, and I’m sure there’s a lot of people in America, you know, they they’re starting to feel this already with things like inflation and gas prices. And so, look, unfortunately, you

36 minutes, 19 seconds

know, we don’t control that. But, you know, what we can do as as Christians is try to make the best and biggest impact on the world as possible. I I I will say

36 minutes, 28 seconds

I think as as American Christians, we got lulled into a s a false sense of security that we were the home team cuz we were the home team for a long time.

36 minutes, 36 seconds

We were the majority. We’re clearly not anymore. That doesn’t mean though that that can’t change again. Uh there are

36 minutes, 44 seconds

have been things like revivals. There have been people like Billy Graham who you know many of you listening or watching I’m sure remember caused really

36 minutes, 53 seconds

the the biggest revival probably in the history of the United States when he started less than half of Americans went to church and then by the time he was

37 minutes, 1 second

done it was it was certainly a strong majority and it wasn’t just him you know there were a lot of people who worked with him a lot of other pastors God you

37 minutes, 8 seconds

know deserves the m all the credit but at the end of the day I’m saying this if you’re listening look there is hope uh

37 minutes, 16 seconds

God is moving. There are people out there doing great work. There are great uh things to explore. Uh and I’d also encourage those listening to get

37 minutes, 24 seconds

involved to uh you know, what is God calling you to? You know, I too often I think as Christians, we think that well,

37 minutes, 31 seconds

let me just, you know, go to church and I’ll just work my job and as long as I don’t kill or steal, I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing. No, you can

37 minutes, 39 seconds

actively pray. You can get involved in what God’s called you to. It might involve taking risk, but kind of like you were talking about a few minutes ago, Gino, you kind of get to some point in your life where you say to yourself,

37 minutes, 50 seconds

what do I want my life to be about? Yes.

37 minutes, 52 seconds

You know, as a parent, you’ve got to provide for your children, but at some level, what’s the legacy you’re leaving behind? Where and and God’s very clear

38 minutes

about telling people, you know, you’re going to stand in front of God one day and account for the things you did with your life. And so, that’s something that all of us have to be thinking about.

38 minutes, 10 seconds

you’ve touched on something and you’ve brought it forward for the world to see during a very precarious time. You know,

38 minutes, 17 seconds

Grassroots Truth Cast and and these episodes. So, you’ll be featured uh 70% of our viewers are in the United States.

38 minutes, 25 seconds

The remaining 20 30% are worldwide. Uh but of those 70% in the United States,

38 minutes, 32 seconds

I’d say 80% of them are in the Southeast United States according to our numbers.

38 minutes, 39 seconds

And uh so you get a more conservative draw in general uh from the southeast states of the United States and a

38 minutes, 47 seconds

subscriber base that follows along as well. Although that’s being disrupted in a positive sense for us by a reach

38 minutes, 55 seconds

that’s going worldwide. So as you what would you say to the world right now if

39 minutes, 2 seconds

you’d like them to become part of your team? Yeah, I’d say if you’re if you’re listening and you want to be part of True Play, please, you know, go to the app store, download it, try it,

39 minutes, 12 seconds

subscribe to it. You know, if for those listening, if you’re tired of awful toxic content, you know, woke agendas being pushed on your children when

39 minutes, 20 seconds

they’re young, then come support something that’s doing something different. Come support something that’s standing with you, that was built for you by parents who are just like you.

39 minutes, 28 seconds

We’re most of the people who work here are Christian parents and we care about children and we care about the society that we live in. Uh and we built

39 minutes, 36 seconds

something that we that not just teaches Christian values but frankly that is built to be enjoyed and is enjoyed by a lot of parents and children all over the country. Secondly, follow us on socials.

39 minutes, 47 seconds

Get involved. Um there’s further ways if you’d like to further support True Play, you can go on our website and and do that on the

39 minutes, 54 seconds

support of the contact tabs. Uh, you can also write to your congressman, write to your senator, tell them, “We don’t want

40 minutes, 1 second

AI systems, especially run by Google and Tik Tok, to block and centric Christians. We don’t want AI machines to

40 minutes, 8 seconds

destroy the Christian worldview. We don’t want AI machines to destroy the very fabric of the American society that’s largely made this country work.”

40 minutes, 16 seconds

So, those are different ways.

40 minutes, 18 seconds

Yeah. Do you think Congress has the will to um impose those uh restrictions?

40 minutes, 24 seconds

Here’s what I’ll say. I’ve met with some people with some senators and congressmen who I was impressed by. I’ve met with some of their staff as well,

40 minutes, 32 seconds

many of whom were very, very strong Christians. And I was pleasantly surprised by that. I’ll just tell you if you’re listening that that I would I’ve been pleasantly surprised by some of the

40 minutes, 40 seconds

people that I’ve met in Washington DC and the the strength of their faith. So,

40 minutes, 45 seconds

look, I’m hopeful that Congress will take action. I’m hopeful that this is something that people can get behind. I frankly feel like this is a pretty unifying issue. You know, if you’re if

40 minutes, 54 seconds

you’re American, you don’t want to live in communist China. You don’t want to live in a version of the Soviet Union.

40 minutes, 59 seconds

You don’t want to live in the situation outlined in the Terminator movies where the the machines come to kill you.

41 minutes, 4 seconds

Nobody wants that, right? So whether you have a Christian faith or you have any faith or maybe if you’re agnostic and you just feel like, hey, I kind of agree

41 minutes, 13 seconds

with values that human life should be respected and people should be able to speak, then that means you should be on our team. That means that you don’t want

41 minutes, 22 seconds

AI to control and manipulate and silence and destroy. And that’s what the stakes are right now. Gene,

41 minutes, 28 seconds

your cause is so uh pure and so good. But it’s more than an app, isn’t it?

41 minutes, 33 seconds

It’s more of a of a movement of uh focusing on um ethics and morals and

41 minutes, 41 seconds

Christian faith and good behavior and um what I would call the disciplines of a of a good life, an entrepreneurial life.

41 minutes, 50 seconds

I don’t see this as being a compromise to any uh free speech or any um uh behavior. Uh it certainly wouldn’t be

41 minutes, 59 seconds

appreciated by socialistic Marx Marxist governances where they need to control the messaging. Uh in this case,

42 minutes, 7 seconds

yeah, but almost nothing good is ever appreciated by them anyway. So that’s not really a loss. And their track record proves it.

42 minutes, 13 seconds

Yes. Exactly. Yeah. You you have an ex a failure rate internationally of exactly 100%. which is you know that’s funny because you were you were talking about

42 minutes, 21 seconds

my experience at Harvard and so I had a lot of professors who had espoused communism and then when somebody would eventually

42 minutes, 30 seconds

somebody raise their hand and say yeah but what about you know Russia when it failed and killed all these people the Soviet Union what about communist China and you know chairman Mao killed more

42 minutes, 38 seconds

people than Hitler or Stalin everybody realizes that but the two biggest mass murders of the 20th century were communists Stalin and and and uh Mao uh

42 minutes, 47 seconds

well what about you you know, this this country, you know,

42 minutes, 50 seconds

what about how bad Cuba is versus when they, you know, before the revolution? And essentially the response is, yeah,

42 minutes, 56 seconds

yeah, but they did it the wrong way. I mean, it’s like, how many times do you get to have a failed state and kind of

43 minutes, 4 seconds

wave your hands and say they just didn’t do it the right way? It’s very simple.

43 minutes, 8 seconds

And Sultaniten said this, he was the one who exposed all the evils going on in the Soviet Union first. When you remove God out of the equation, everything else

43 minutes, 17 seconds

eventually gets destroyed. And that’s why we do what we do at True Play,

43 minutes, 20 seconds

right? If you take God out of entertainment, if you take God out of the conversation, if you take God out of social media, you wind up with anxiety,

43 minutes, 27 seconds

suicide, depression rates at all time highs for kids, you wind up with child children getting exposed to porn, you wind up with, you know, satanic content

43 minutes, 34 seconds

and imagery and the destruction of human life and sanity. Because when we turn away from God, that’s the only road you can go down.

43 minutes, 43 seconds

You you bingo. You hit the nail on the head, which is where I hope you were going. And now in the last few minutes,

43 minutes, 48 seconds

uh Brent, give us where True Play is now and where you want it to be.

43 minutes, 53 seconds

44 minutes, 6 seconds

coming out. We have a new game coming out called True Play Trains where you can uh do a do a train battle uh with using some of our characters in kind of

44 minutes, 14 seconds

a fun way, fun, exciting way. We have um other games coming out uh that we’ll be building later. We have new video

44 minutes, 22 seconds

content uh some things in the works we haven’t announced yet that we’re really really excited about. We’re going to continue to make great content that’s
