Ted Tibbett running the controls with you this morning. Michael off, but we’re very fortunate we have with us the man of the hour who’s always around 715 on Friday, Gene Valentino, the Velvet Hammer. Good morning, Gene.

You’re a Velvet Hammer. I entered stage right. Tell you why we appreciate Gene and I have a lot in common.

People ask me sometimes, when did you start in radio? And I’d say the day I was born, my father was in radio. He was a broadcaster, station owner, manager, talent, did a little bit of everything. And Gene kind of came up that same way with his father through the mutual broadcasting system.

Yeah, you remember that was that was the days when radio and TV were so well defined. There was a Federal Communications Commission that focused with clarity on airwave transmission. Well, the transmission you’re receiving now may not be coming to you by airwave.

It may have started by airwave, but it ends up being a feed that’s coming to you through your phone, through your home, through a cable channel. And these parallel paths have kind of clouded, Ted, the delivery of broadcast journalism and the rules surrounding how we what we say, how we say, what we can get away with. You notice you get on the social media platforms and they’re using four letter words all over the place.

But in the strict environment we’re in right here, which is considered off air transmission under your FCC license, that would penalize you. And I think the owners of the station would penalize me if we went astray with some of our language. It’s going to be revised.

You know, it is interesting because we go back and even the whole thing and this is coming up to the question I would like you to dwell on just a little bit because you’ve been around broadcasters a long time. Your father, of course, with his position with Mutual, which was a major radio network back in the day. And what we have today, journalists have always tended to be a little liberal.

But even with that, they were very front right about they presented the news as it was. And they didn’t try to put a slant on it that would lean you one direction or the other, just the news and just the facts. And times have changed.

And we’re seeing I go around and I do a lot of volunteer work in veterans organizations. And I occasionally come up on a guy from World War Two and a lot from Korea and less and less every day, by the way. And the question always asked me because they grew up in the days of Roosevelt.

You know, that was the man and then President Truman and people like that. And they say, what has happened to our Democratic Party? It’s not the one that we used to know. And I know, for instance, public broadcasting in the big vote last night and its inception, a good concept.

But somehow or another, the liberals took it over and put it in the wrong direction. And if you don’t think that this doesn’t happen, announcement that Stephen Colbert of the CBS Late Show is being canceled as well. I can tell you why it’s being canceled.

Nobody’s listening to it and advertisers aren’t buying it. So the world is changing out there. And something has happened to the old party of the mule, I guess, or the donkey or some people would say the jackass.

Yeah, the there’s been a swing. The door has swung back the other way. And what we’re witnessing in plain view is something you and I talked about with Michael going back about two years ago on this very show.

And that was the complete meltdown of the Democrat Party. We talked about it with a sense of fury two years ago. But now the Democrat Party and its behavior has evidenced itself.

The whole concept of our nation being a two, a government based on a two party system is been compromised by the exertion of force, political and otherwise, within the Democrat Party. It’s not about you and me, or we, it’s about them. I’m at the top.

I got into office. Oh, yeah, you’re an elected congressman. Now put your thoughts aside.

I don’t care what you promise the citizens. Here’s the marching orders from the Democrat Party. You follow this mantra and go and read from this playbook.

Because we’re not we’ll get to your ideas later. But we’ve got the Democrat Party initiative to follow now. Recently, you saw Hillary Clinton, you saw Barack Obama, you saw others trying to step up and fill a void that was created during this feckless Biden administration.

And they’re failing at that as well. The Democrat Party, which was I’m in control, step in line and follow my way in my steps in lockstep, is a is a mantra of overreach and control that the citizens are walking away from. And you will watch, whether it’s AOC, this candidate for Mayor Mamdami in New York City, even Chuck Schumer, the Jewish, a Jew who’s head of the Democrat Party, nonetheless, in terms of strength and oversight head is in the in the Senate side has proven to be impotent, and unable to carry a clear and decisive democratic message.

As a result, you like Donald Trump or not, he’s herded the herded the cats and kept everybody together as best as possible, allowed for dissension, whether he liked it or not, was forceful in trying to manage bad behavior comes out winning now, after indictments attempts for impeachment, the man has kept the he’s been the door swinging back the other way I mentioned in the beginning, he is now proven to be the individual that the nation needs to codify one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all of us, not the select few. And Ted, it’s happening in front of our very eyes. It’s, it’s like watching a movie in real time, and not in not being in not believing what you’re seeing.

But it will go down in the history books as being one of the most pivotal times in American history. You know what, and I think people need to understand this. Our country under the leadership of from Bill Clinton, Barack Obama to Joe Biden, we had drifted so far to one direction, it’s like a ship sinking.

And it’s going down on the left side, you got to buoy up the right side real quick to straighten that ship. And we were in serious trouble. Because individual greed came ahead of American need.

Meaning the deal struck in the early days of funding Ukraine, were a mechanism, not for the security of Ukraine, but for the payoff pocketbooks, books of a select few. I won’t use any names right now, because I don’t want to taint where this is going. But even the auto pen issue proves to be feckless, meaning without merit or import, it has no ability to be enforceable, the Supreme Court is going to be forced to make one of the most difficult decisions in its era.

And that is to reverse the signatures of the auto pen, which puts into plain view 51 intelligence officers of administrators who will be called into question as to why they got behind CIA Director John Brennan’s eat it, that the Biden laptop was Russian collusion, when it was not, when the Hunter Biden laptop was real. And it was evidence that Trump had brought out that they tried to steer as being reckless propaganda by Trump before the last election. And it turned out now to be true.

And we can’t forget the past. Is there no small coincidence? The Democrats are saying, Oh, let’s move forward. Let’s sweep sweep it under the rug.

Let’s forget about the past and start anew. Hell no. The past almost destroyed this nation.

Bad behavior is what almost destroyed this nation on the Democrat side. That’s why many Democrats are leaving. That’s why the Gen Z crowd, the youngest of voters coming through the rank at this time, are individuals who are saying, Hey, wait a minute, I haven’t liked what I’ve experienced since COVID.

This turned out to be a mess. People were dying. Explanations were not given as to why with the vaccine.

Things came out that even Trump didn’t know about. Trump, for crying out loud, if they’re going to blame things on Trump back then, was surrounded by people even in his organization that were not divetted and truly trusted. You remember, Mad Dog Maddox? You remember Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State, two secretaries of state prior to the current Marco Rubio? These people were conspiring behind Trump’s back to take down or make impotent the capabilities of Donald Trump.

Donald Trump learned a good lesson. America had not learned that lesson yet. They needed a dose of what happened during the Biden administration to realize just how bad things could be and nearly became.

And now with Trump back in office, whether he figures out how to go for another term in 2028 or not, the Constitution won’t allow it today, but let’s see what happens. Even if he doesn’t get become a subsequent president for a third term like FDR, he will have put in place, you notice his staff is half his age, most of them. He’s creating a new generation of Republicans around him that are not falling in lockstep with him necessarily, but carrying the torch for a new generation, for the Gen Z crowd to buy into and to create a perpetuation and hopefully admire and honor the Donald Trump legacy.

Well, it’s like anything. We got to pass the torch and we got to find the right people for it. And I don’t know if people really realize how much trouble we were in prior to Trump becoming elected, but the ship was not only tilting, it was sinking.

That’s correct. We were in a danger zone. And I remember being on this very show with you and getting pretty hot and inspired, at the very least, about my commentary, which obviously was heard by some of the networks, but they knew I was right about the credibility of the constitutional republic that this democracy sits in.

We, the people, make our decisions. The best government is your city council and your county commissions and state government representatives, where you have a look and feel and hands on with some of your local folks in making sure the right rules get passed. We had abrogated, we had given up our concerns over the effectiveness of government at the federal level.

Well, that’s a mistake too. Government is not one-sided. The reason why this constitutional republic works, Ted, is because it feels tension, it feels stress, it feels opposing viewpoints.

That’s why we need not a dominating party like the Chinese Communist Party, the CCP. We need a democracy, a two-party democracy like we have here in the United States, where we constantly put under tension the opinions to be vetted to make sure the best is coming forward for the citizens not that for the select few. And the door is swinging back.

We have a long way to go. Elon Musk threw a grenade in the pond with his Doge initiative that Trump signed into, and it’s only the beginning of now Doge being in place for perpetuity to fix the ills that were created over decades. Remember, this problem is over decades that has been fostered by the Democrats.

It didn’t foster itself during the Trump administration. Well said, Gene Valentino, and thank you very much. We’re out of time.
