Well, yeah, I’ll stay with politics, not sexual exploits. That’s probably safer ground for me. Obviously, Ted has not had his medication this morning, so I don’t know. Or he’s overdone it—one of the two.

Well, that’s part of it. You know what? I’ll just say this, back for a minute: when I was young, I don’t know that I ever wanted to be president, but I thought I would have to clean my act up so much that I didn’t have anything against me my entire life to run for president.

One time, some years back, a group came and talked to me about running for mayor. They said, “We got the financing, we can do all this.” But then they said, “Now, is your slate clean?” And I remembered a Halloween party—I was a little embarrassed. And I said, “I better not run.” Today, I think you can step out of a brothel in Juárez, Mexico, and be elected.

Well, good morning. It is true how the tenor of things has changed, even in a decade. When I was running for office 10 or 20 years ago, they were looking at your background. But now, the things they’d be looking at pale in comparison to the seriousness of so many other things that are before us with certain elected officials or candidates.

I mean, we have certain people running for office that… I don’t know where they’re coming from. Where’s the rest of America and the good talent that’s out there to run for office? I can’t help but believe that the well isn’t dry, that we’re not out of good talent.

There are so many great people in America. Many are gun-shy, though, and just not willing to step up and put their life in the forefront because it comes under such scrutiny. The media, in particular, is savage in their ability to maintain a decency between what would be considered private and public.

Look how they treated John F. Kennedy in the ’60s—or the Kennedy family, for that matter, through the years. All their exploits were put on the shelves, and they brought forward an image of a certain Americana through the Kennedy family and Democrats. Today, you would hope and pray for that kind of image. The real problem is we’ve got some bad actors running for office that pale in comparison to years ago.

I’ll tell you, we’ll jump into the subject in just a minute, but one thing that irritates me—for you and the Judge both—is the way the media treats some people today. I get up at 4:00 in the morning, so I’m on and off sleeping all night. But I wake up at 10:00, 11:00, or 12:00 at night, can’t sleep, and turn to one of the late-night channels, which I don’t normally watch. I cannot believe how TV hosts treat the President of the United States! Cartoons of him going to sleep, watching a ball game… I’ve never treated any president we’ve had like that, and I don’t understand what thrill they get out of it or what they’re doing. It’s gotten to where, with so much going on in the news around the world today, I can’t believe anything. I don’t know what’s going on.

Well, it’s not news anymore—it’s opinion. It’s op-ed or whatever you want to call it, but it’s not news anymore. News means it’s going to be 97 degrees today. All right, whatever, that’s news. But when you put your spin on it, it’s not news anymore.

Yeah, it pales in comparison. We’ve gotten away from objectivity. I remember Journalism 101 and 102 and all the courses I took in college on journalism. You had to hold a strong line, validate your sources, and make sure before reporting facts that you had at least two verifications. You don’t get that today. You get mudslinging and shooting from the hip without verification of any facts.

I remember watching that recently, and they kept talking about verifying sources. “Well, can you verify it?” They must have said that line a dozen times, at least. I dare say that doesn’t exist anymore.

That’s right, Judge. The conservative networks, I feel, do an adequate job of maintaining what I’d call a journalistic standard. But the fake media or the left outlets are doing depraved things. Look at what they allowed Kathy Griffin to do with the decapitation of Donald Trump’s head on the news, and then talking to him in such brash terms.

I pray that this election coming up puts that to bed and sets into motion a new culture in the midterms. That’s what’s important, because in a midterm, the Republicans usually lose. But in this case, I think the Republicans are going to win, and I think it’s going to put into motion a transition of culture and thinking nationwide.

Let’s face it: a lot of the opinions out there about Donald Trump come from an ill-educated electorate. They’re ill-educated because the public school system has failed America due to socialist, Marxist, far-left thinking that has pulled history, standards, and a moral baseline out of the system entirely.

So the person voting with a bad opinion about Trump, frankly, to his defense, doesn’t know any better. He doesn’t know any better because the deep state culture around him has been allowed to fill his brain with accusations about what the Trump administration has done to America. We would be a communist nation today if Donald Trump was not re-elected in 2024. We would have Joe Biden and his ilk nearly crush this nation, and if people don’t see it, ask yourself why.

They don’t. And Judge, I think there’s something more pervasive. It extends over to the Lindsay Clancy trial, it extends over to what’s going on in Iran, and it’s in a lot of different venues of conversation—Trump’s plan to reset America with a new approach to AI, and all these stories before us in the news.

The positiveness is impacted negatively by the deep state culture of the George Soros, Marxist, communist crowd that is working to eat America and take America down from within. It’s better than firing bullets and bombs—it’s a style unto itself. And it was working, but I think enough Americans have awakened, and the response is in their hands. They’re going to show it by an affirmation of support in these midterm elections for the Republican candidates.

Now, I know a few Republican candidates that need a little education and spanking themselves—no political party is perfect, that’s for sure. But the bottom line is the Democratic left is off the rails. It’s gone too far. The Democratic Socialists have taken over the Democratic Party. To save this nation, give Trump, in the remaining two years of his second term, a solid Republican House of Representatives and a solid Republican Senate so he can push through some long-lasting legislation.

And I submit—and I’ve said it before, gentlemen—constitutional amendments, so that these issues do not keep popping up every week in the news with one new crowd of political candidates after the next. We need these concerns codified permanently into our Constitution through amendments. We have 27 of them; let there be a 28th and 29th that start handling issues like the SAVE Act, the legitimacy of citizenship, the electoral process… that’s a start.

Then let’s continue toward the institution of a balanced budget, and further with an amendment that demands term limits for congressmen and senators, not just the president—so that we don’t have Nancy Pelosis, Chuck Schumers, Hakeem Jeffries, and these others who are in six-, eight-, or twelve-year terms, spending 40 years of life manipulating a system that was intended to protect and help the citizens of this nation. Was the Fifth Amendment, for example, ever intended to be used by an Anthony Fauci 111 times? I don’t think so. This is an abuse of our system, and we need to correct it through constitutional amendment.

Let me ask you something real quickly, Gene, before we run out of time. Have you heard anything with your national connections at the networks about Maria Bartiromo suddenly resigning at Fox News? Word going around some of the news sources I heard this morning is that maybe she’s the new press secretary.

I’ve heard that too, and that would be a convenient excuse. But I’ve also heard she wanted to lead on a story involving Iran, and the executives above her killed the story, so she flipped out and said, “Well, I quit.”

That’s the hearsay—I shouldn’t report that per my journalistic standards I mentioned earlier, because I don’t have a second source on that that I can verify. But rumor has it that she’s upset about the facts, wouldn’t budge, and was taken out. She either said, “I quit,” or the executives above her fired her. But she left because she had the goods on something serious that goes back to the Biden administration and their involvement with Iran, affecting Donald Trump and his pending second term.

If you want to be press secretary, you better be ready to give up your life. Somebody on one of the news commentaries was saying you better get Donald Trump’s sleep schedule, because while he’s asleep is the only time you’re going to be off work.

Well, I think no matter how these elections turn out, if we don’t do what’s necessary to allow him to be successful these next two years, then we’ve failed ourselves, not just America. We need to give him his chance to be successful in the remaining two years of his ability to serve as president and let him get some wins on the books for us. Things would have been much worse with Iran and our economy if he was not in office.
