We are. We got the Ayatoma of Pensacola, the Velvet Hammer himself, Jean Valentino. A very good morning to you, Jean.
Good morning, gentlemen. I just got back from the Waterfall Resort up in um outside of Ketchacan, Alaska. Brought
home my take of of salmon and halibit. I had a break, which is why I missed you last week. Sorry about that. But u my
wife finds the freezer filled be to the gills. No pun intended, with all this fish.
I have room in my freezer, by the way. I have room over here if you need to move.
I think I need to bring you I think I need to bring you a few. And my good friend Peter says, “You’re the big daddy.” Yeah. Why are they calling Why
are they calling you Velvet Hammer and and Ayatollah from Pensacola? You’re now the big daddy, papa. I said, “Oh, wait a
minute. I got more damn names floating around me right now than Carter’s got pills.
You know, a lot of younger people may not remember Carter’s liver pills. That’s right. Dad, tell us about Carter’s liver pills.
You had some of those when you were young, didn’t you?
They used to call them Carter’s little farter starter.
That’s funny. Yeah. Cleanse your colon with Carver’s li liver pills. Anyway, so we should move on to something else before we uh get too far in the weeds
here. You know, I have been reflecting over the last couple of days. I don’t know, it just hit me, Jean. 250 years
we’ve been a country and we’ve been running over here at the radio station uh some some uh of the series of Prageru
about the founders and the things that surrounded the founders and the the many uh hiccups that we had trying to become
a country and so I just have started having this warm feeling about my country over the last couple of days and
it’s a shame that so many more people don’t understand and know how wonderful our country is. And you know what has really helped to make me feel this way.
What’s that?
All of these people that have come here from the for the World Cup that have that they just talk about how great this
country is. They say, “Look, look at this place. This is Bies. This is a filling station. And you can go in and
eat brisket.” And their bathrooms are bigger than the palace at the Versailles Palace. and and and you can go to to
Bass Pro Shop and you can watch pro fishermen actually catch bass inside Bass Pro Shop. These people are
absolutely amazed at the size of our country, at the size of our venues. They just can’t get over it. How we can drive
anywhere we want to. That’s why Europeans stay on the trains. They can’t afford cars and they can’t drive. So, they have to get on a train to go somewhere. Yeah, that’s what exactly.
And it’s I’m so glad you brought this up, Michael. This is um no small coincidence the Supreme Court just hands Donald Trump uh to wins on immigration.
And while that’s going on, tying in exactly to what you’re talking about, I’m watching a segment last night uh
with Laura Ingram. uh she’s got a mother on with two ch two young girl daughters
um I’m guessing 8 to 12 years of age and they’re visiting uh the national
archives in Washington DC and uh we have come to the point where we’ve got to
we’re self-deprecating we take such effort to criticize ourselves and our wrongs it’s probably why this nation is
still surv survived for 250 years. And I’m watching this these little girls
talk about um just how beautiful this nation is. I get choked up just thinking about it because
I know these these young people uh encounter America’s history this way firsthand.
It’s not me uh merely through political debate and this tension that exists between adversaries running for office,
but they got the chance to put their hands uh figuratively on the Declaration
of in Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights. They’ve uh often
rediscovering a sense of wonder about this nation’s principles. We are
principles before personalities which click it just went off in my head is
exactly what makes us different from all the nations of the world. We put
principles before personalities, not not uh pr not personalities, not figurehead.
Our patriotism has been strengthened this last few weeks, not by ignoring American imperfections, but by
appreciating the extraordinary ideals that have guided its continual pursuit for the two things these little girls brought up uh on the show last night.
They use the term liberty and freedom.
What makes us different from the rest of the world? The liberty and freedoms we have here in this nation that our
forefathers uh I’m choked up, but I think I had to be reminded by an eight and a 12y old about just how beautiful this nation is.
And I saw that same I saw that same uh uh show last night that was uh that was on Fox. It was uh what what’s what’s her
name? Uh oh, Laura Ingram. Yeah. Yeah. Laura Ingram.
Laura brought the story up and it touched my heart. Meanwhile, to what you just said here, we had the have this
FIFA group stands for Federation International, the football association, which in French is the uh international
federation uh of the association of football. And it was being it’s being co-hosted right now by the United
States, Canada, and Mexico. It’s the world’s largest World Cup in history,
featuring 48 national teams competing in matches across 16 host cities uh in the
United States from June 11th to June 19th. And I have to after listening to these two little girls talk watch more
news clips about national group international groups from around the world brag at how beautiful the United
States of America is as you and Ted have been describing this morning. This is young people and our our heirs to our
remarkable experiment in self-government which is playing out before our eyes. Is
America against immigration? Hell no. We needed to get slapped in the face
recently and we did by nonresidents by immigrants who are here as our guests in
the FIFA World um World Federation World Cup. uh association of football and
they’re doing so in the soccer football uh uh um competition that’s going on
around the United States. And what do we see on national TV? Foreigners bragging about America.
If that doesn’t wake us up and bring our bring us to our senses and put in place the stupid reclusive
um extreme bad behavior of the Democrat party and now the renegades in the
Democrat party taking us further left, further extreme. We are going to win the midterms with common sense and sobriety.
We are going to bring this nation back to its uh roots that I needed an eight-year-old girl to remind me of this
past uh two days. We are going to make this nation whole again. And when we do,
democracy will survive. And let it be that this second round of of uh AOC
squad up to about 8 nine people now they’re going to get slapped in the face with a sense of Americana that they’re
not going to be able to deal with. Even the Supreme Court of the United States gave Donald Trump a win recently on
immigration. Now, if the damn Congress can get their act together, put their vacations on hold, and work around the
clock to give Donald Trump some leak good bills to sign on immigration and
pay and issues related to the to the uh validation of of of our immigration process. Boy, would that be wonderful.
We have the Supreme Court also coming up right now with the um with the um uh uh
the uh what is it? The birthright citizenship um decision that’s pending. Frankly, it must be a difficult decision, Michael.
They can’t seem to come to that decision very quickly right now. I’m concerned about why it’s delayed.
Yeah, I am too. And that’s something that that’s got to be done. I I mean I I hope they I hope they’re able to figure out a way to do that because that’s not
what the 14th amendment meant. That had that had nothing to do with it.
It was for slavery. Yeah. And the children of slaves. This But I agree with you. We have we are at a point right now where this is
transformational. And the immigrants had to remind me of just how important this nation is and and why it’s survived for
250 years. uh if the news spends time talking about a a slashed um liner to
the American to the pool uh in front of the Washington Monument, my words, we have some bad actors that need to be
punished severely. Let it be that this uh awakening puts the bad actors in jail
sooner than later. Uh uh Mark Wayne Mullen DHS is doing a great
job in a short period of time. Give him all the rope he needs to corral uh the
hundreds if not thousands of wrongdoers that deserve to be behind bars that have caused America such heartburn these last
few years. I would I would like to go back to what you were talking about with regard to the uh to the folks that have
recently been elected in the Democrat party in the New York area, the New York basically the New York metropolitan area
with your socialist Marxist Mandami as mayor who pushed these people and actually ran out uh you know pretty
liberal Democrats. I mean Dan Goldman was no MAGA guy. This guy was on the team that prosecuted Donald Trump and
tried to get him impeached. But I want you to think about every single one of them, including Mandami, have never had
a a real job in their entire life. They have never done anything. They have never worked in the private sector.
Nothing. They have shown nothing. And this is what Marxists do when they can’t get theirelves situated into the regular
economy and into the world that we all know where private enterprise takes care of most everything in the world. Those
people, they’re losers basically is what I’m saying. And the only way they can get any power whatsoever is to get into
politics and to talk about how terrible the system is and run it down and make people believe the only hope is getting somebody that’s going to hand you
everything. That’s where we are right now with the Democrat party and they got big problems because that will not play
well across this country. Well, the final election has not occurred yet, but three T comm communists, I call them,
uh, won in these Democrat primaries recently, uh, still stand the test before a public race with the against a
Republican. Um, Susan Collins in Maine against, um, uh, our our Nazi tattooed
buddy whose name I choose not to even mention is Yeah. Just Prather, Graham
Prather. uh are just one example of Platner is just one example of uh the
the the Bernie Sanders effort to try to take down this nation. Where in this nation, Michael, has socialism and communism survived?
It hasn’t. And tell you, we’re we’re out of time. We got about 20 seconds left.
But uh but it’s never worked anywhere in the world. Let’s just not talk the United States. It hasn’t worked
anywhere. You see what’s happening in Cuba right now? They’re about to and the reason why they’re about is because it doesn’t work. Only a small
number of people benefit from the from the Marxist system. That’s the way it works. Anyway, thank you, Jean, for joining us. We appreciate that.
