(1:07) We have just witnessed the loss of a new American hero, a person who has been a true contributor to

(1:17) what I would call the Gen Z crowd, the new generation, the crowd that we hope carries

(1:24) the torch into a new wave of success for our democracy. Charlie Kirk at the age of 31

(1:33) was assassinated by a gunman’s bullet from what appears to be a long-range rifle on a Utah campus

(1:42) today. It’s no small coincidence that he was before a very conservative crowd speaking about

(1:51) the regeneration of American patriotism and the resurgence of our democracy and that his message

(1:59) was being delivered to a conservative group at the university.
Charlie Kirk represented to me

(2:06) the future of America and the future of democracy. He represented what we older folks are looking at

(2:15) as a commentary and a platform, what we used with him. He had his podcast, we have ours,

(2:22) but he represented that new generation.
He believed in the notion that failure to defend

(2:29) the rights of other people may someday result in your rights not being defended.

(2:36) He was part of a legion of people that was trying to take America into a whole new realm.

(2:44) He was a patriot at the very least and as President Trump said, he will be sorely missed

(2:51) as a leader within the conservative community.
I can’t help but take pause at this moment and

(2:59) reflect. How many Democrat liberal activists have been shot lately?

(3:09) Compare that against how many Republican conservatives have been attempted to be murdered

(3:19) or seriously assaulted. I think you’ll see that the difference has now becoming clearer and clearer

(3:27) and that we as Americans need to put down some of the actionable extreme political rhetoric and

(3:36) focus on a platform of communication between each other that Charlie Kirk espoused.
Let’s talk,

(3:45) he said. Let’s work out our differences, he said. Let’s try to figure out the common ground.

(3:51) He was not a person that tolerated bad behavior and when your actionable words become intolerable,

(4:00) more than offensive and rude, they become actionable

(4:05) and people pick up arms and weapons and do harm to others.

(4:12) It’s unfortunate that someone found the need to shoot Charlie Kirk today

(4:17) and take his life at 31 years of age. It’s unfortunate that a wife with three children

(4:24) are being left behind to carry on the torch of what Charlie was doing.

(4:33) This does nothing but solidify a conservative action and movement across this nation

(4:42) to bring the morals and ethics of this nation, regardless of the platform of speech you choose,

(4:49) to bring the morals and ethics of this nation back into alignment. If it’s we the people,

(4:59) then we the people all have a voice. The problem is Charlie lost his today.
