(0:06 – 0:21)
Gene Valentino’s grassroots podcast, he tells the truth, he tries to get information out there to make sure people make good informed decisions. The one we’re featuring this week is Luis Sanchez from The Cigar Shop. He owns a company called La Tradicion Cubana.

(0:22 – 0:39)
The Cigar Shop, Miami, Florida, since 1995. This Luis is really one heck of a guy. He’s determined to manufacture cigars based on an unprecedented excellence in quality using old fashioned Cuban methods.

(0:40 – 0:52)
You can get this to become part of your branding experiment. I’m using this with my guests on the grassroots truthcasts. This could be your brand on your product, your service, anywhere in the world.

(0:52 – 1:21)
Look for Luis Sanchez at thecubanshop.com. So for more on this historic peace deal that is in motion, let’s bring in GOP strategist and Miami GOP committee woman, Angie Wong, as well as GOP political insider, host of the grassroots truthcast, Gene Valentino. Good morning to you both. I mean, just incredible reporting there from Zach Anders when he talked about the rainbow coming out this morning after that region had not seen rain in a long time.

(1:21 – 1:30)
I mean, so symbolic. Gene, we now have Israel Hamas signing on to phase one of this Trump backed peace deal. Your initial reaction.

(1:33 – 2:08)
My initial reaction with all the noise here at home on budget, continuing resolutions and all the other issues that are under our nose, how this man, Donald Trump, manages to secure eight or nine peace deals in the first six months of his term of office. This one finally coming to an end after 3000 years of conflict is unprecedented, historic. And there’s got to be another Mount Rushmore somewhere for this guy, because there’s nothing to compare it to.

(2:08 – 2:17)
Yeah, it’s just this has been unbelievable. And you talk about just all of them. You got India, Pakistan, Cambodia, Thailand, just all the stuff that he has been involved in.

(2:17 – 2:36)
Even Democrats on CNN, shockingly, are now giving Trump some credit. Let’s take a listen. The biggest problem that President Biden had is there was no pressure from Qatar, from Turkey, from Egypt.

(2:36 – 2:40)
But I think by saying that, it’s sort of an acknowledgement Trump has changed that dynamic. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah.

(2:40 – 2:50)
I mean, he’s clearly. I don’t know how he changed that. And I think there’s a lot that remains to learn about what prompted that change.

(2:50 – 2:58)
But I do agree, yes. There you have it, Angie. I mean, that was Democrat New York Congressman Dan Goldman giving the president some props.

(2:59 – 3:23)
Finally, he was nudged a little bit, but you have to finally admit it. When it comes to what he’s been able to do in just nine months on the international stage, do they finally have to kind of open their eyes at this point and say, yeah, Trump has accomplished a lot when it comes to these international issues that are going on? Yeah, Democrats are tongue tied. They don’t know how to respond to this because it’s been so much.

(3:23 – 3:36)
This is something that everyone should be congratulating around the world. This is a conflict that’s been happening for decades, centuries even. And now it took President Trump to actually get it done.

(3:37 – 4:00)
And what a historic, historic week this is going to be. Now, this all comes in the realm of the Nobel Peace Prize being announced this Friday at 11 a.m. I really think that he is certainly a contender. Certainly many, many country leaders as well as domestically, they’ve put forward his name for the Nobel Peace Prize.

(4:00 – 4:15)
I think this could come down to Friday. I think it’s certainly something that we should be watching. As far as like Democrats, they don’t really know what to do because they haven’t received their marching orders from leadership yet.

(4:15 – 4:28)
They cannot push back on this. They actually should actually leave it alone or congratulate in unison to our president. I mean, like like you said at the beginning of your thought there, this should just be across the aisle.

(4:29 – 4:38)
Everyone should be excited that this is getting done. And the hostages will hopefully be coming home Saturday. But moving on a little bit back here stateside.

(4:39 – 4:58)
So the president holding a roundtable meeting yesterday with members of his administration and other experts. Let’s take a listen to his comments on going after the group that he’s now declared a terrorist organization. The epidemic of left wing violence and Antifa inspired terror has been escalating for nearly a decade at universities.

(4:59 – 5:11)
Antifa has organized riotous mobs to attack campus because I see it all the time. And these are these are agitators, anarchists, and they’re paid. But they have been very threatening to people.

(5:11 – 5:20)
But we’re going to be very threatening to them, far more threatening to them than they ever were with us. And that includes the people that fund them. I mean, Gene, I think this is fantastic.

(5:20 – 5:30)
For so long, the left have been saying Antifa is just it’s an idea. They don’t actually exist yet. I mean, as we’re showing our audience right now on our screen, they are violent.

(5:30 – 5:48)
They spit on our officers. They physically attack our officers. What do you make of the way that the president is now trying to just root out what he now is deeming domestic terrorism? Well, the politician will tell you what you want to hear, but the leader will tell you what you need to know.

(5:49 – 6:08)
And Donald Trump is not following in some lockstep Democratic type mantra of leadership. He’s leading and others are following him. It’s because he comes out of a corporate world where leadership’s required to bring a bottom line of profitability to an entity.

(6:08 – 7:22)
In this case, the profitability is the United States of America. And it’s now evidenced. I think that it’s time for the Republicans and the Democrats to learn a good lesson here.

The lesson is that we can have our political differences within our political party system. But when we get on the House and Senate floors, we must legislate and act on behalf of the greater good of the nation, not Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. We must lead and come up with our decisions based on what’s in the greater good of the nation.

I hope the message from the Donald Trump administration and the future of this nation is that we’ve got to come together in true bipartisanship, not just talk about it. And that’s what I take from this. Yeah.

And I mean, Democrat John Fetterman has really been aligning himself with a lot of the Republicans. And he said exactly what you just said. He said, my vote was for our country over my party, which is, I think, is how it should be done.

Angie, I’m going to give the last thought to you on this. Yeah, I’m very happy to see that President Trump is finally labeling Antifa as a terrorist group. For a long time, we were told that these were protesters.

(7:22 – 7:38)
I don’t see anything about protesting here, not when it comes to violence, when it comes to burning flags, when it comes to shoving people and causing violence and standing in front of cars. These things are violent acts. I’m very happy to label it because now he has more powers to go and arrest.

(7:38 – 7:45)
Yeah, exactly. Finally, they have a label and it’s the label they deserve. Angie Wong, Gene Valentino, thank you so much for joining us this morning.

(7:45 – 7:48)
Really appreciate your time. Thank you. Thank you.

(7:48 – 8:00)

All right, so let’s turn now to the New York City mayoral race where House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has finally endorsed far left social Zoram Mdani to unfortunately be the next mayor. So for more on this, let’s bring in GOP political strategist, insider, and host of the grassroots truthcast, Gene Valentino, as well as online opinion editor for the Washington Times, as well as Newsmax contributor, Cheryl Chumley. Good morning to you both.

(1:20 – 1:31)
Oh my goodness, you guys. Let’s just get your reaction. You know, the leading Democrat in the House endorsing such a controversial candidate to lead America’s biggest city.

(1:31 – 1:41)
I mean, really, the financial capital of our entire country. Gene, your reaction on this, because unfortunately, I hate these words even coming out of my mouth. It looks like it’s going to be him.

(1:43 – 1:57)
Well, good morning. And what a way to start the morning. I’m going to disrupt your train of thought and suggest that Mr. Curtis Sleewall, I predict, could be the next mayor of the city of New York.

(1:58 – 2:31)
While it’s my personal hope, I’m not misguided by the the wall he has to overcome. But I think the silent majority in the New York area is not that stupid. And if they are, it’s the complete meltdown of the Democrat Party in plain view, while in parallel we see a major disruption to a treasured city that’s a hallmark for the United States of America and something we’ll have to repair and fix in the years ahead.

(2:31 – 2:49)
I think I think Curtis Sleewall gets it. He’s the only native of New York that’s truly been there to support New York. He’s been down in those subway bowels and he’s he’s been in all parts of New York to make it a better place.

(2:49 – 2:55)
Yeah, you’re not wrong at all. Curtis Sleewall is a fantastic candidate. Again, born and raised in New York City.

(2:56 – 3:08)
Mamdani cannot say that. He’s only been a New Yorker for a handful of years. He’s only 33 years old, comes from an extraordinarily rich family, which is just so ironic considering says all he wants to do is just tax the rich.

(3:09 – 3:38)
You know, Cheryl, here we go. Why are people so willing to vote for Mamdani? I mean, what, he’s a failed rapper. What does he have to show besides, hey, I’m going to give you some free stuff? Well, that’s a very powerful narrative, right, to low information voters, to voters in the younger sect who have grown up in public school systems, taught to think America is to blame for all that ails the world and to embrace socialism.

(3:39 – 4:00)
And it’s also something that illegals that come to this country from other governments that teach that government is there to provide from cradle to grave. That’s something that grabs a hold of people. And look, New York City has been a sort of breeding ground for this far leftist type of ideology for years.

(4:00 – 4:27)
And to me, it just shows the degradation of the Democrat Party, which, again, has been ongoing for decades, really ratcheted up since Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came to the forefront, sort of as the leader of the Democrat Party. So I’m not as optimistic that Mamdani will lose. I love that you said, you know, these low information voters are the ones that are pushing for him, considering there’s no such thing as a free lunch.

(4:27 – 4:38)
Somebody is paying for all this, quote unquote, free stuff that he wants to give out. But I do want to quickly play a part of a new ad from Mamdani’s opponent, opponent somebody else. Independent Andrew Cuomo is also running.

(4:39 – 4:50)
This is completely AI generated. So let’s take a look at this. Zoran Mamdani’s opponents want you to believe he’s an inexperienced radical whose policies will make New York City more dangerous.

(4:51 – 5:00)
But what do his actual supporters think? Mamdani isn’t crazy. He’s just trying to even the playing field. I’m a criminal.

I’m a criminal. I’m a criminal. I’m a criminal.

(5:00 – 5:16)
Yep. I’m a criminal for Zoran, for Zoran Mamdani. I didn’t have a real job until I was 30, but sure, give me the keys to the city.

(5:16 – 5:37)
What’s the worst that can happen? Paid for by Cuomo for NYC. All right, Gene, I would love your reaction on that. Well, Cuomo has a pattern and has shown himself as being somewhat of a misfit with certain bad behavior at the state level.

(5:38 – 6:06)
He snubbed Donald Trump when he was Trump was in his first term trying to bring help into New York City with issues related to isolating the covid victims. And and each time that there’s been efforts to show team spirit or team approach, I don’t see it in Cuomo. I see in Cuomo the same thing I see in most Democrats, me before we.

(6:07 – 6:16)
I want myself to be advantaged and taken care of first. Then I’ll figure out what I might be able to do for you. I did not see that with Curtis Leewald.

(6:16 – 6:53)
I saw a guy who put New York first and has done so for decades. And that’s why I think that’s the guy I think who has a chance here. Yeah.

Speaking of Sliwa, you know, let’s take a look at those predictive markets. So, of course, Ma’am Donnie, 92 percent chance to win the election way ahead of Cuomo and Sliwa. But but but but Sliwa could actually be making some massive moves here with a new Victory Insights poll showing the Republican just trailing Ma’am Donnie by only eight points and a head to head again.

(6:54 – 7:18)
That’s without Cuomo in there. Cheryl, have your thoughts changed looking at that poll? What do you make of this? So polls always lean farthest left. Right.

And we have seen so many times over the years that they’re not off by just one or two percentage points. They’re off by double digits in many instances. So as a voter, if you’re a voter in New York City, I really wouldn’t pay attention to polls at this point.

(7:19 – 7:33)
Yeah, it’s Jean, just your quick thoughts on that on that poll again. Curtis Sliwa, he’s been, like you said, in the bowels of the subway, loves New York City. Just wrap this up for us.

(7:34 – 7:41)
Real quick, I think that Cheryl’s right. I think polls are misleading. I do think that he’s in striking distance now.

(7:41 – 8:44)
And the real surprise will be the Democrats in registered Democrats in New York, some four million plus that most of which are Jewish, that are going to be faced with a decision. Do I go with Sliwal, who’s a proven proven something in New York over the decades? Or do I go with a Cuomo who’s deceived us, whether he’s a Democrat running or not? Yeah, people New Yorkers are not forgetting what Cuomo did, especially during the pandemic. Cheryl Chumley, Jean Valentino, thank you so much for joining us this morning.

Really appreciate it. Thank you. Hi, friends.
