Bianca De La Garza: Let’s bring in now political strategist and host of the GrassRoots TruthCast podcast, Gene Valentino, and former Trump campaign aide, author of the book Wicked Game.

Gentlemen, I appreciate you joining me today. I want to jump right into, um, the breaking news. We just got these early, uh, release, you know, excerpts. Um, I’m going to read the transcripts of Harris and what she’ll say tonight. We knew it would be Donald Trump on January 6th. Um, she says that one of his highest priorities is to set free the violent extremists who assaulted those law enforcement officers on January 6th.

Intends to use the military against American citizens. This is not a candidate for president, she will say, who is thinking about how to make your life better. Rick, [00:02:00] everything he’s talking about. Is about fixing the things that are hurting Americans today, and that was evident at Mar a Lago. So hours later, she’s going to stand there.

Um, to me, I don’t think it will move the needle. What are your thoughts?

Rick Gates: Yeah, I don’t think it’s going to move the needle. I think there’s a real danger in her overplaying her hand by using incendiary rhetoric. She has not done a good job of contrasting her positions with Donald Trump. Uh, her advisors tell her that, her campaign tell her that.

So she needs to figure out how she’s going to communicate with the American people about what she stands for, her vision, her policies, while at the same time contrasting herself with Donald Trump. But for the last three and a half weeks now, we’ve seen an outright assault, direct attack, On Donald Trump.

And what we’ve seen is it’s not working. Not with any demographic whatsoever. And, and, and she is in real jeopardy now of letting this entire campaign slip away because of this mistake. So tonight’s going to be very interesting to see what type of rhetoric she uses. Uh, but I [00:03:00] think it’s going to be very difficult for her to find that balance.

I don’t think she’s capable of doing it.

Bianca De La Garza: One of the things she’ll say is, and, and is, but America, I’m here to say tonight, that’s not who we are. When she says he wants to keep American people divided. They’re calling him a Nazi, they’re, they’re saying he’s a fascist, what’s more divisive than that gene? Uh, New York Times, picking up on just what Rick said in, in Politico, that her strategy of Trump calling, Trump name calling is not attacking, and the Democrats are saying they don’t play well in communities struggling to make ends meet.

Gene Valentino: The Democrats themselves are becoming Republicans, Bianca, because they’re embarrassed by that rhetoric. Uh, my dad used to tell me, failure to defend the rights of other people may someday result in your rights not being defended. All I’ve seen on the last few speeches by Donald Trump and J. D. Vance is complete protection of America first.

[00:04:00] If she’s going on stage tonight to speak, she can start the conversation by addressing where the 325, 000 thousands and thousands of Children are that have come over the line as sex slaves and have disappeared into America. I’d like to know under her watch where those people were. Let’s talk about real life in America.

Bianca De La Garza: Powerful stuff. We know that Donald Trump certainly spoke about that today at Mar a Lago. He had a video with Jocelyn Nungaray, the beautiful 12 year old who was found strangled at the beginning of summer where her mother spoke to illegals. Uh, charged in that crime, um, but you know, Donald Trump, um, does have a message and does have a record, Rick.

And all the left also has is smears. The Madison Square Garden rally, uh, a lot of positive, you know, messages, Elon Musk. Gabbard. And then it’s this comic that says something, you [00:05:00] know, talking about Puerto Rico. And when you play it, it’s really not even it’s really not even it’s a good insult. Comedian is not.

It’s nothing really crazy to hear. It’s just sort of a comic, but it can’t be funny. And George and George Lopez can say things like this about Mexicans because he’s at a Democratic rally. Let’s play this.

George Lopez: Donald Trump said he was gonna build the wall. And George Lopez said, you better build it in one day because if you leave that material out there overnight,

he also said that he was going to get Mexico to pay for the wall. I wish you would have asked me. We can’t even really split a check at a restaurant, but you know.

Bianca De La Garza: Isn’t that offensive to Mexicans? I [00:06:00] mean, it’s, it’s a double standard of comedy and it’s also a way again to try and, um, really head off what, what really was an event that was historic, just like a lot of his campaign events have been in recent days, Rick.

Rick Gates: Well, and if you look at what the Democrats are trying to do, obviously it’s desperation because they know they can’t talk about the issues because they’ve tried that and it didn’t work. So they’re resorting to anything and everything that they can pick up. Obviously, they have the mainstream media on their side, uh, promoting their message, talking their talking points.

So I think at the end of the day, You know, the Democrats really were trying to stretch here and trying to make this into, Hey, see how bad Donald Trump is with this type of rhetoric. But again, it’s not working. You know, it’s, it amazes me that the Democrats have some very smart, you know, campaign strategists on the other side, and they just seem to be missing opportunity after opportunity to really capitalize on trying to win those demographic of voters that they need.

Uh, and they’re not doing it. And when they continue things like this. And they [00:07:00] get the media charged up on something like, you know, Donald Trump’s rally, uh, in, in New York and, and talking about this comedian. It doesn’t sell the people. We’re not voting for the comedian. We’re voting for Donald Trump.

We’re voting for Kamala Harris. Those are the two candidates. Everything else is kind of immaterial at this stage.

Bianca De La Garza: Yeah, it seems like now it is the get out the ground game. There was a poll that chose them ahead in New Hampshire. Joe Biden won that state by seven points in 2020 and also Virginia is in play.

So New Hampshire four electoral votes, Virginia 13, um, looking at New Mexico. These are important states, Gene, in our final 30 seconds. Um, Democrats, um, if they’re panicking and have this, it may be out of time for them, but of course we want people to get out and vote. And early voting we know is underway in many states.

Gene Valentino: Yeah, I hope we take a hard look, Bianca, at how these polls are coming out to us. The underwriting criteria on these polls varies from community to community. Uh, this horse race I’ve talked about at 49, 47, 50, [00:08:00] 49, it’s neck and neck, yet everywhere we see on the follow up news stories is a tsunami of support for Donald Trump that, that is unbridled.

Uh, I hope that I hope we don’t forget what these Democrats have done over the last, uh, four years, eight years to hurt Donald Trump, the Donald Trump family
