DHS says this holiday season, give yourself a gift of home with the CBP app. They are really great at trolling, aren’t they? Now, according to a report from the Center for Immigration Studies, 59% of illegal immigrants’ households use at least one welfare program, adding up to $42 billion in costs for American taxpayers. For more reaction to this, pleased to bring in host of the Grassroots Truthcasts podcast, Gene Valentino, and also the White House and Washington reporter over at Politico, Daniel Lippman.

Guys, good to see you on a Thanksgiving week. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving.

(1:38 – 2:36)
Maybe it’s a jet holiday. It is a gift of home. I mean, obviously, the social media in this administration is very different, and a lot of people seem to like it.

Daniel, what’s your reaction to this CBP Thanksgiving version? Yeah, they’re definitely spending a lot of money over at DHS and in the Trump administration on social media and video production. And I remember when Mitt Romney was mocked for calling for self-deportation, for it seems like that idea has some currency now, because people don’t want to get swept up by ICE or CBP, and that there’s at least a small minority of illegal immigrants who’d rather do it and get $1,000 at the end of the process instead of having to face maybe going to Alligator Alcatraz or going to El Salvador. Yeah, they do get that $1,000.

I mean, you said you think they’re spending a lot of money. I don’t know. The kids out there today are so creative.

(2:36 – 2:59)
They’re kind of whizzes with sort of the apps, and I don’t know how much it’s costing them, but I know it seems to be effective in the music they use, the catchiness of it. And of course, if you didn’t vote for this administration, you’re not going to like it. If you want open borders, Gene, and you want that $42 billion to go to illegals, you’re fine with that.

You don’t want them to go home. You want them to stay. And if you’re a Democrat, maybe you want them to vote.

(3:00 – 5:36)
No, I’m fine with them, all right. They can even wear those Biden shirts they came over the border with. And I’ll tell you what, let them wear the pajamas and the slippers too.

Just send them home. All right. Well, don’t wear pajamas when it comes to the airports.

This is kind of a fun story we heard from Transportation Secretary Duffy. You know, that’s also some of the campaigns, Daniel. You know, he wants people to, you know, be civil to one another.

It’s amazing we have to do this, but it is a message. You’re there in D.C., and I know that news conference, I believe, was also in Washington. How do you think the vibe is there now? Are people looking at some of this social media saying, yeah, you know, maybe I won’t wear those flip-flops, or at least I’ll put my feet out on someone else’s chair or on the armrest? Well, if you’re liberals, you’re probably now going to all wear pajamas on the flight to snub Sean Duffy.

And so they sometimes want to do the opposite of what the Trump administration will tell them to do. I do think it’s generally good advice, and we have seen the Trump administration try to get federal workers to go back to the office and not just be working for the taxpayer in their pajamas at home or in their basements. And so I think that some of the other advice he had given was, if you’re stronger, have bigger muscles, you should help grandma lift those suitcases up to the carry-on, not let people suffer.

And so kind of generally good advice from this administration on this issue. Yeah, it is. Well, let’s talk a little bit about this comment.

Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner in Memphis says he is going to eliminate public housing for illegal migrants. Specifically, American citizens, that’s who we want to help. Illegal aliens have no place in public housing.

It’s outrageous that people who should not be here come across our borders and now usurp spots and housing units that should support American people. What’s your take, Gene? Well, no tax dollars, please, for illegal aliens in housing. That’s my stand.

I think we’ve got to get back to the principles intended with our legislation. If the money’s being spent, as Daniel was inferring, let it be on their extrication and return home. But illegal aliens do not get housing subsidies.

(5:38 – 6:03)
All right. Well, let’s move to this clip. A regular over at MSNOW, formerly MSNBC, seems really excited when talking about how the ICE agents in Charlotte recently had tires slashed by the protesters.

It is political scientist Dr. Jason Johnson. Also pretty happy that thousands of students who walked out of school were protesting Operation Charlotte. Webb, here’s his take.

(6:04 – 6:15)
In addition to the fact, and I won’t say that I’m suggesting this behavior, but ICE agents have found that their tires are slashed. They have been found that they have been chased out of buildings, chased out of restaurants. But that’s dangerous behavior.

(6:16 – 6:48)
It is dangerous behavior, but it is a demonstration that the American public, when they’re not being listened to, these are the options that they’ll take. I hope this administration listens and pulls back these ICE raids. I think it’s going to take more than slashing tires, Daniel.

Do you think that is a good take to have? I mean, I agree it’s the audience who’s ginning up the base here, but it seems like it’s not going to work anyway. So why bring it up and why seem to revel in it? Yeah, these are people you can disagree with their policies. That’s why we have elections.

(6:49 – 7:50)
And elections have consequences. But people should not be slashing the tires of federal agents who are just trying to do their jobs. I do think that these students, it’s in their right to not show up to class, to show solidarity with illegal immigrants who have been wrapped up in these raids.

And so maybe these students are trying to be like Greta Thunberg to protest, everyone has their cause, and maybe they’ll be political activists. And so I got interested in politics as a kid. I was not walking out of school, but everyone has their different methods.

Yeah, no. Yeah, obviously, we know sometimes of the younger generation to sometimes rebelling against parents, you don’t know, because that Charlotte’s Web seemed to be pretty successful with the type of people they were taking off the street. Let’s talk about Dearborn.

No women on the city council. Some in Michigan are saying it’s because the city’s growing our population now at 56%. And here’s one resident who sounded pretty concerned.

(7:51 – 9:57)
I hope the rest of you do something about making sure that women’s thoughts get put into and are remembered. Because when men do all the thinking, it’s different than when women put their thoughts and their hearts and their minds to it. Morley Manor, our whole board is women, and we’re doing better than we used to.

You know, I say that guy probably has a very successful marriage. He’s talking about how strong women are. I don’t know, Gene.

I know you have a happy marriage, too. He wasn’t making about Muslims, but obviously no women, no women voices. Well, my marriage is happy only because I know when to say yes, honey.

But but it’s it’s 40 something years. It’s been great. But to the gentleman’s point, you know, I’m more concerned about the indoctrination or I should say the assimilation that that city council or county commission might be.

I’m more concerned about making sure that people taking these offices are Americans, not Americans being subordinate, subordinated to foreigners who came here questionably. And now we not only have to tolerate it, but it now becomes the manner of a city or a county. You know, when we’re guests in other countries or if I’m a guest in your home, I’m smart enough not to put my feet up on your table.

I expect to be thrown out of the house if I did. In this case, we’ve got foreigners trying to change the culture of this nation and we have to assimilate to them. No, it’s still America.

They assimilate to us and we respect their culture, their religion, their ethnicity and their personal identity. We talk a lot about Dearborn just because it is a huge diaspora, but there’s a big Muslim plant community that’s being built in Texas. Obviously, the first Muslim mayor, Zohran Mamdani, will be in New York City.

(9:58 – 11:12)
President Trump yesterday did sign that executive order saying that the Muslim Brotherhood, some chapters, would be designated as a terrorist group, Daniel. I mean, obviously, concerns about Sharia law in Texas has prompted Abbott to call for a criminal investigation. What do you make of the president’s executive order yesterday in regards to this? Because the Treasury Secretary now will give a report and if there’s money being funneled over here to support terrorism or vice versa, backwards, it seems like they’re going to find out pretty quickly.

Yeah, there’s a lot of victims of Islamic terrorism or terrorism supported by the Muslim Brotherhood that might be interested in getting any funds that they have in U.S. bank accounts. I don’t think that there are a lot of bank accounts at Bank of America or Chase that say Muslim Brotherhood where it’s easy to trace, but we do have very smart agents in the Treasury Department looking after and trying to figure out where dirty money and terrorist money is, and so I’m sure they’ll do their best, but it’s not going to be easy and it might take a while to try to enforce this executive order. Yeah.

Well, great to have you both. Really appreciate your comments and I know it’s a busy week and I hope you guys both have a great Thanksgiving. Gene and Daniel, appreciate it.
