New Courtyard by Marriott on West Nine Mile boasts bistro with breakfast and dinner menus

We have had a ‘soft’ opening of our Courtyard Marriott, Exit 5 off Interstate 10.  Grand Opening this Spring!

Our plans include a complete, full-service restaurant which will be attached to the hotel.  Today, we have a modest breakfast/dinner menu.  I’d be happy to meet you there sometime to give you a tour. In the meantime, we can meet there for coffee, breakfast, or dinner some time soon!  ?

An inconspicuous new restaurant option just opened up for foodies in the Northwest Pensacola area.

When the Courtyard by Marriott at 3200 W. Nine Mile Road opened in the last week of January, so did its first-floor restaurant and bar. Known as the Marriott Bistro, the new restaurant serves elevated takes on classic American food.

“It’s a menu full of nice, clean ingredients and all fresh food,” said Marriott Bistro Food and Beverage Director Lamarcus Jordan on Friday. “Flatbreads, wings, healthy salads and sandwiches. And a lot of cool cocktails to go with them.”

The restaurant is open from 5 to 10 a.m. for breakfast then closed until dinner, which runs from 5 to 10 p.m. The Bistro was designed with hotel guests in mind, of course, but Jordan, a Pensacola native, said the community is more than encouraged to stop in for a bite.

“Nine Mile is growing,” Jordan said. “When I was a kid, everything up and down the road was all woods. And it was one lane. Now we’ve got these new apartment complexes, the Navy Federal and (Pensacola State College). We’re trying to appeal to everyone around here, doing wine tasting nights, wing nights. We have a fire pit outside, we’ll do nights centered around Monday Night Football or other big games.”

LaMarcus Jordan, food and beverage director, prepares an order of lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes at the Marriott Bistro inside the Courtyard by Marriott in Pensacola on Friday.

The Bistro goes above and beyond standard continental-breakfast style options, offering a menu complete with omelets, frittatas, a farm stand breakfast bowl, breakfast sandwiches, banana bread French toast and lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes.

“Bistro Classics” include the Bistro Burger, the “Green Goddess” Chicken BLT, a three-cheese grilled cheese with tomato soup, vegetable baked pasta and roasted herb chicken breast.

Rounding out the menu are “social snacks,” like the skillet meatballs and classic chicken wings, and the “bites and boards” section, which boasts a crispy Brussels sprouts dish and various flatbread varieties.

“The flatbreads are selling well, the two breakfast sandwiches are a hit,” Jordan said. “People are recognizing that everything is fresh. That’s the difference with us.”

Two TVs overlook the bar, which is flanked by a big screen TV on one side of the dining room. The kitchen is also fit with an official Starbucks, complete with the franchise’s full coffee, latte, mocha and cold brew menu.

Jordan said the Bistro is proud of its cocktail menu as well, which is listened in its entirety below:
