see you. Uh, the Trump administration
has now frozen federal child care
payments to Minnesota following these
fraud allegations involving these
Somalun providers in the state. The
Health and Human Services Department,
the deputy secretary there, Jim O’Neal,
said that the freeze is part of a
broader crackdown on the rampant fraud
in child care funding. How big do you
think this goes? because it it does seem
like it’s going to be much bigger than
uh than than than Minnesota,
much bigger than Minnesota and much more
pervasive with political involvements
that are going to try to duck for cover.

And uh now today, reports have her

million depending on who you’re talking
to. Where did that money come from? How
did she get it? And what about Tim
Waltz, the governor of the state, so
anxious to take shots at Donald Trump
every chance they get? Uh uh the man is
now going to try to be conscious and
responsible with his investigation into
this matter statewide. Where’s he been
for the last 10 years? This thing has
grown into something in excess of 9
million. Well, Jean G Jean, in fairness
to Governor Waltz, uh, he was busy
putting tampons in the boys’ bathrooms
of all of the schools and giving
illegals driver’s licenses. So, I mean,
he did have a couple of things on his
dance card, uh, but certainly not this.
Now, the the House committee Yeah,
exactly. The House Oversight Committee
is going to be holding a hearing next
week on this. Chairman James Comr said
that the hearing is going to feature
Minnesota state lawmakers who raised
alarms about potential fraud and misuse
of the state social services programs.
He has also invited Governor Walls and
Attorney General Keith Ellison to
testify on February 10th. Now, here’s my
point. Hearings are fine, but we’ve seen
this this movie before. You know, people
get outraged. There’s fraud. There’s
waste. There’s abuse. there’s
illegality. Um, and then the hearing
doesn’t actually amount to very much of
anything. What do you think the American
people really want to see here?
The American people really want to see
whether it’s the president of the United
States or the attorney general in
Minnesota or a county commissioner like
me in my hometown held accountable and
prosecuted if they look the other way
and are part of a of a miscarriage of
funds in the in the that’s been put into
their care, custody, and control by the
elected people said differently. I was
an elected official here in the county
and for eight years we caught some
fraud. We saw the arts council steal
some artwork. We saw some uh agencies
involved in rehabbing low-income housing
ski some money. They’re in jail.
We took care of business.
And they paid the price. That’s what I
think want to see to answer your
question. And if the Congress
Yeah. Congress needs real needs to needs
to enact some real reform here. Why? You
know, you you’ve got to give these
states block grants. Um or not take the
money to begin with. Let the states if
if it’s a daycare issue and the state
wants to fund it, let the state fund it.
you know, people who live in Tennessee
and Texas and Florida like you should
not be funding daycare for some place
2,000 miles away now. And there’s also
Gene Washington State. Yeah. Go ahead.
I was just going to say arguably there
uh there’s a place for government to
help those who cannot help themselves. I
accept that principle. I do not accept
the notion that government uh
fiduciaries, any elected person should
look the other way and allow this money
to be spent willy-nilly. Where’s the
oversight? Where’s the transparency?
And we, the elected people, are now
going to be held accountable. I I’ll
tell you what’s going to set me off. if
they try to go after uh Donald Trump
with BS impeachment uh motives, if we
lose the House of Representatives and it
becomes Democrat, there will be a move
Yeah. Well, look, it’s up to
Republicans, and we’re going to leave it
there, but you know, it’s up to
Republicans, I think, since they control
everything in Washington to really be at
the tip of the spear of trying to fix
some of these law long-standing
problems. Americans, I think, are
looking for some sort of reform. And
hopefully when Congress comes back, they
will actually do that. Jean Valentino,
