The governmental affairs house oversight review of the issue that’s been pending. It’s been pending for over six years. Senator on the antics of of Mr. Anthony Fouchy. Welcome aboard.

Hey Jane, it’s so frustrating. You know, we had the hearing last week and all we wanted was answers. You know, we know his diary was out there and he was saying the different in his diary what he was telling all of us. And just think of the impact he had. Millions of people died in this country. People took a vaccine and died the day they took the vaccine. Families couldn’t go see their loved ones uh when they passed because of Anthony Anthony Fouchy. We have u no idea, you know, what the government did with regard to funding gain of function.

Uh we have no good information on the origin about everybody. You know, all the evidence is it was the Wuhan lab, which he says it wasn’t because he’s trying to cover up, it appears he’s trying to cover up the fact that he paid for gain of function. We got people that took the vaccine that shouldn’t have taken it. We got we got people that died because they didn’t get the medicine they wanted. Um we’ve got we got families that have, you know, long-term COVID lost and, you know, all I [clears throat] mean is it’s endless.

This guy’s a just a complete liar. He’s not a hero. He’s a villain. He c he, you know, he caused more and more death than anybody in my lifetime other than probably people that you know have have like Stalin and people like that. Well, there’s millions of people in the United States of America, not just the state of Florida, which you’ve served uh coming in your second term as United States senator, but millions of people through the nation are proud of the leadership you’shown on this issue that you have not let it die and fall by the wayside.

What I have a deeper problem with is Okay, so it’s now voted in. It’s going uh going to be handed off to the DOG for analysis and hopefully a prosecution of some sorts. Yes, I hope so. I mean, he needs to be prosecuted for his lies. U he look he had he had a pardon. All he had to do was tell the truth. He didn’t have all he did was tell the truth. Come. Is it fair to is it fair to say you might have acquiesced and been a little gentler in your words had he shown some willingness to be apologetic over some of this because clearly in your earlier in the first session you were you were quite angry and you made it clear he needs to go to he needs to go to jail is basically what you said and uh so did some other senators. Uh but I what is there I mean Americans by their general nature are very compassionate people but but there’s there’s a level of discontent and refusal. They want to see justice now. Can you make sure justice occurs here?

I believe it’s going to happen. Um I believe the Department of Justice is going to do their job. And look, there’s state AG’s now looking into him. Uh now we have information about his uh his cell phone. uh his government issued cell phone. So, we’re going to be going through that. And if it’s if it is as inconsistent as his diary, it’s going to look really bad for him. He it’s just going to prove that what he wanted was fame. He didn’t care about you. He wanted to get rich. He was more interested in his, you know, sitting down and having dinner with Jake Tapper than making sure Meccan stayed stayed alive.

Why did it take an entrepreneur like a Donald J. Trump, like uh Elon Musk, like a successful businessman like Senator Rick Scott and other entrepreneurs who have had more success in business making money having to step up and show account ask the rest of the Congress to show accountability. What’s the defect in Congress that must also be changed to uh cause uh uh Senator Blumenthal, Senator Hassan, and Senator Peters vehemently just, you know, one side of the issue only. They’re not voting for you just because of a partyline defect and the lack and because of this filibuster. What can we do to change the system to make your organization more accountable to the United States citizens?

Well, first off, you got to elect better people. You got to elect people that are really committed to doing what they said. You know, when you when you campaign, you make promises to the people. If you don’t live up to your promises, you shouldn’t get reelected. Um, I tell people, and you got to go vote. If you don’t go vote and you don’t get information on the candidates, then it’s your you can’t really complain. Uh, because you had that opportunity. Only in America, you know, do we have real elections where you can pick whoever you want. Um, so you you’ve got to you’ve got to do that. So, I hope that’s what people do and say, “You know, that person is not doing their job or that person promised me something, they’re not they’re not doing it. So, don’t elect them.”

Um, yeah, you don’t have to part, you don’t have to vote party line. You vote for the person that’s going to get what they told you done. But up here, what happens? People, oh, they just want power, so they vote they vote with the party or they want campaign contributions from the right people, so they do whatever that person tells them.

You know, I find it interesting on the political side to listen to the Democrats squeal about this because under the Pelosi uh leadership and when Chuck Schumer had more control, coming back to him in a minute, uh the there you guys had no say at all in your subcommittees. Here you are uh providing an opportunity for them to have a say and input and information and they’re reaching for straws on on uh not having the information that you had to um to adjudicate this matter. What say you?

We had the same information. The de not one Democrat even looked at the website. Rand Paul put up all the information that he had on on the website. It’s all public. He they could look at it. He he didn’t even try. Um they didn’t even try to get it because they had already made their decision. So it’s it’s pretty disappointing because whether you know Democrats died because of what Fouchi did, not just Republicans. So Democrats ought to be furious about it, not just Republicans. So hopefully it’ll change.

Hopefully, you know, people look at what happened in Fouchy and they say, “I’m not going to do what he did ever again.” Now, citizen response and a lot of news media is coming out um since your uh meeting this morning talking about if this is what I’m left with on the Democrat party, I’m going to become a Republican or at least an independent, I’m not staying in this league of play. It is uh it’s contemptuous and and he and one thing the dem if I’m to take a side and to try to defend the dem the Democrat position on your committee. I hear uh Senator Peters talking about n 1896 Brown versus Walker case where the Supreme Court said, you know, it’s in it’s incumbent upon you to testify. They’re trying to split hairs and say that this is not a uh a a a true case before the Congress, that this is a subcommittee and so he needed to protect his rights. What say you about the distinction on that issue?

Well, there’s no distinction there. He had the right. He had every opportunity to testify. He had a pardon. He elected to just thumb his nose at us and say, “I’m not going to give you any information. I’m not going to tell you about all these consistencies even though you know I have no risk. He had no risk. All he do is tell the truth. That that was his only only risk is if he didn’t tell the truth. And if you look at the questions we asked, all we wanted was facts.

Well, you know, the the facts uh the facts have certainly been there for six years. And my my hope is is that the average American person realizes what you’ve known for 6 years and that there’s been a contemptuous level of behavior to hide those facts from the American public. It’s now coming coming out. Any any other comments about this morning’s meeting you can bring out?

Well, I I can just tell you I’m I’m very proud of Rand Paul. Ran Rand Paul and his team really put the the effort into getting all this information out there. Uh so I mean I I I just think we all ought to thank Ran for uh he’s the chair of the um homeland subcommittee or homeland committee and he he did a great job today.

Yeah, it’s clear that uh he kept it in the limelight. I hope um I hope the DOJ finds it in their um in their plan uh to prosecute M Dr. Fouchy to the same level they did Peter Navaro and Steve Bannon uh with with less evidence uh uh for against them. Uh Jonathan Turley had uh some interesting points this morning t too. One of the concerns I have is that the um just because you have the right to use the fifth amendment as a defense doesn’t mean it’s appropriate to do so. And I think that was brought out uh by some of the other senators as well. You can’t masquerade behind a false defense when there is uh when there is no basis for that defense applying. What colors the carpet, what colors your tie and so forth. Certainly brings the point out. If this ends up in the Supreme Court, Senator, do you see how do you think this is going to fall?

Well, first off, Fouchi needed to answer the questions. He had a pardon. So he had no he he was under under no there was no risks to him. And uh if you look at the questions people asked, they just wanted information.

But is the pardon truly legitimate when you consider it’s been an autopen type of pardon?

Well, that’s not something the Supreme Court has made a decision, but it sure I mean it doesn’t appear that Biden knew about all those pardons, but you know that that’s a that’s a different decision for the Supreme Court.

Yes. Okay, switching gears somewhat, but all connected. I know prior to this committee hearing and the events of Fouchy, you’ve been up to your eyeballs with the Save America Act. Can you uh pri give us an update on where we are?

Well, you know, this is one of the most popular uh things in the country. Republicans, Democrats, independents all across the country want election security. They’ve watched they’ve watched what happened in Spencer Pratt. They’ve they know the stories of illegals voting. Uh they’ve they’ve, you know, they want their elections secure. So, we’ve got to get it passed. Just require voter ID to to be able to um uh vote. You have to prove your American citizen to register to vote. That’s all that’s all the Save America Act does. So, we got to get it across the line. We’re supposed to go on recess actually today. Um so, my goal is we, you know, we do what my mom said. You got to finish your work before you get to go play. So, uh the work we’ve got to get done is we got to get election security done.

It would seem that some of the confusion we see in Congress and at the state level level is the the distinction between the authority at the state and federal levels. Here you have a save act that hopefully gets passed by Congress probably with the removal of the filibuster if um if Senator Thun doesn’t get it through. Do you think you can?

Well, here’s our choices. One, we can get rid of the filibuster. we have the votes to pass the Save America Act. That’s number one. Number two is require a talking filibuster and then at some point in time we say we know we’ve had enough uh discussion, we’ll pass the Save America Act and we have the votes. The next is we could we could add provisions in the reconciliation which only takes 50 Republican votes plus JD Vance uh to add provisions in that gave our states uh monetary incentives to do the right thing. So we need to do uh one of those things. There’s also a bill that came through the House that stops insider trading, which I support, stopping all insider trading, and it has voter ID as attached to it for voting. Um, so maybe we can get it done that way, but we we don’t vote on it, we’re not going to get it done. So that’s why I continue to push our leadership team here to to take the votes, stay in time, stay to get this stuff done. I don’t think we should be going home until we have election security uh tackled. And that sounds like a corporate executive with a corporate background who focuses on targets and objectives and not political convenience uh that socialists think about in their scheme.

I’m concerned about the overall um uh pulling of the filibuster to allow us to go forward. They say the Democrats are going to do it anyway. Well, I don’t want to think that the Democrats will have majority at any point in time. So, I would hope that the filibuster is p pulled personally as a businessman. Let every single senator and congressman get up uh and and show their position on on these issues, including some of the renegade Republican senators that’s that have caused us more of the difficulty. What say you?

Yeah, I think we ought we ought to debate. Um I’m willing to go to the floor and debate what I believe in and if I can’t convince people, that’s my problem. But if we don’t even have the opportunity to debate our opportunity to have votes on bills, then that’s that, you know, that’s that the leadership in the Senate has to make a decision about that.

Yeah. But aren’t you frustrated in the least when you have to allow state attorneys general to step up and try to prosecute um uh Tommy Tubber Tubberville running for office over in Alabama says if I have it my way I’m going to keep Anthony Fouchy in courts until the end his last day in uh on earth. Uh to me it should be handled as a federal issue. The fact that the states have to step up and try to pick up where the federal government is tied up in knots on these issues is terribly frustrating for the American citizen.

Yeah. The the bottom line is I think the American citizens want answers. So whoever can get them the answer, I think they’re going to be appreciative whoever gets them the answer. Whether it’s at the state level, federal level, whatever level it is, they want the American public wants answers.

They want them and they need them. And um I I know your schedule is full. Uh I was hoping um uh with the G7 switching gears again that the president was able to um to uh show a a big win uh with uh his memorandum of understanding or some agreement with Iran through his emissaries uh to secure a a peace. Whether Iran lives by it or not, as you know, is a different story. But to get to a G7 conference with an agreement of peace uh is certainly um another feather in his cap.

Yeah, it’s I mean look, the Iranian regime is frustrating. I don’t I don’t see how they’re going to uh they don’t I don’t think they have enough pressure to to change. We I seems to me that we’re going to have to every so often bomb them to make sure they don’t have a nuclear weapon. Um the president’s doing the right thing. He wants diplomacy. Uh, but if we don’t get it, we don’t get the answer we want, we’re going to have to use, continue to use our military.

Do you have any um outlook as to where you think this is going to end up? Do we um need [clears throat] to do what you said and arm ourselves and um carry weapons all of us individually to protect ourselves not only from adversaries abroad but the deep state initiatives that are going on in this nation the Democrat socialists the the Bernie Sanders’s they say they call themselves socialists but let’s face it they’re they’re communists and and they’re behaving like communists in a con a democratic constit constitutional republic uh to me is abhorrent that we’ve had to that we’ve gotten this far. Has not Congress managed itself more effectively?

Well, there’s always things you can do better, but here’s what I tell people. What the Democrat socialists want to do is they want to destroy this country. Uh they want open borders that, you know, they they um they want they want to get rid of all the capitalists. The leaders are people like Hassan and Mandami and AOC. Hassan wants me murdered. He wants every capitalist murdered. The only ways socialists stay in power is by murdering. So when you you can vote you can vote yourself into socialism. I mean they did in Venezuela with Chavez. But you better have a lot of guns to get out of it. So if you if your area is becoming run by socialist, you better buy a lot of a lot of guns and a lot of ammunition because that’s what you’re going to have to have to get out of it because they’re going to they’re going to do everything they can to stay in power power legal or not.

You know, there’s uh switching gears again. We have um Florida governor’s race going on. Any comments about how Byron Donald’s is doing?

Well, I think Byron’s running a good race. I mean, the election is going to come down to who do you think is going to help build rebuild our economy? As you know, the Florida job market’s been soft the last couple years. Uh so hopefully the next governor will have a big focus on the economy. I think it’s going to be Byron Donald’s. And I think he’s going to focus on how do we how do we improve our economic outlook? How do we make sure our kids get a great education? and how do we leave live in safe communities? I think he’s going to do a great job.

When I was county commissioner in Escambia County, Florida, I had the per privilege of being accountable to you when you were governor and uh one of the things I you did for me personally was um you gave me a little toolkit of uh incentives and opportunities that Florida could offer the rest of the world. So off off I went to Farnboro and um the Paris Air Show and tried to talk up the um the um uh benefits of Florida, not just Escambia County through o over there and we had great success. Uh today uh I’m concerned about the enemy from within. Uh what’s for example, what’s the Chinese role in uh thwarting um anti-data center movement that the president and you are promoting so aggressively?

Well, the Chinese government is despicable. They they’re killing our kids with fentanyl. They’re stealing our jobs. Uh they’re putting a lot of disinformation out to to destroy our way of life. They hate us. Uh they want to dominate us. And so stop buying Chinese. Stop buying anything Chinese. Anything made in China, send it back. Uh, nothing. Nothing at all. You should not buy anything from China. There, it’s a despicable government. Um, I’ve got a good friend of mine uh in jail because he criticized the regime. He’s 78. He’s been in solitary confinement for 5 years. It’s, you know, the only way these guys stay in power is they oppress their people. And that’s that’s what she’s doing in China.

Yeah. I was uh watching an a person f on the plane yesterday flying back from Orlando to Pensacola. And I turns out he was a minister of a church in El Paso. He had Fox News on and he was talking about his uh he wasn’t optimistic. He was concerned about what’s come still down there in Texas that was impacting and he says yes it’s it’s [snorts] a lot of the migrants, illegal migrants who are ill informed. But he said in the same light, my my parish of 3,000 uh members is uh uh is talking up the concern with the Chinese influx uh and uh the lack of willingness to assimilate into our culture. This this extends extends to to the Islamic jihadist folks that are uh hidden away right now. What what say you about a plan for America to now shift away from our military offensive overseas and creating a military or some offensive within the United States to thwart these millions that that are eating us from within in your neighborhood and mine?

Well, the the big thing we got to make sure Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapon. So, we’re going to have to use our military, I believe. So, that that’s that’s number one. Number two is we got to educate Americans about what socialism does, how it destroys their way of life. Um, so and we’ve got to support our local law enforcement. Uh, but we’ve got to we’ve got to have a great education system, but every parent’s got to take responsibility for educating their kid.
